Gaming Scribblenauts Hype and News Thread

As the person who started this hype thread many moons ago, I can say if a demo dump comes out I won't try it.

I'm already afraid enough as it is that this game might have limited single player appeal once you've thought up every outlandish thing you can. I don't want to burn myself out on a 6-9 level demo when the read thing is just 6 weeks ago.
I wonder if in game difficulties to choose from when you start which could involve limitations on what you can summon such as "no animals" on something like a farm stage?

Anyway I have a scenario, you come to a river which you need to cross, what would be the first thing you would summon? I would probably call upon the help of a ladder to stretch across the river

Hey guys, lets not get this thread locked like the last two. If the demo gets leaked, then it gets leaked. If it doesn't, big deal. You're in the same place you were in a few days ago before you knew about it.

Anyways, back on topic, something that I was wondering about: Do you think adjectives will be in effect? For example: Red Ladder, Smelly cat, etc.

So far, judging by the spellchecker, I don't think adjectives are used, though I could be wrong. Could just be that no demo videos have been that specific.

If I came to a river that needs crossing, I'd do it in the most abstract way possible. I'd summon a whale and ride its water spout over it. Or summon a brontosaurus and just walk across it.

But what if before rules of "no animals" are in effect?

I don't know but it might be an unlockable around the end? Also talking about special characters do you think seeing as it is a Nintendo game that they might have something like Mario come over and jump on someones head, or maybe you could summon a DS stylus to be layed over two cliffs to make a bridge. There is also a chance they might incorporate some of their other games like summon the drawer from Drawn to Life or Lock from Locks Quest to come and build you something.

Been watching this game for awhile has gotten me pshyched! At first I didn't get the game but when it dawned on me that you typed whatever you wanted and it would pop out (well maybe not every thing because I wouldn't want to scribble NUTS and get something other than tree nuts XD... and yea I know that someone elso posted ScribbleNUTs and it made be laugh too

") thats when I got psyched

Other WB characters are still owned by their respective trademark owners, so I don't think so. Maybe some kind of *wink wink* nod, though. One could argue the grappling hook looked like Batman's.

I don't think we'll see any Looney Tunes or DC heroes in it, though. Then they would have to pay for using them.

I think most "special" characters are going to be ones in the public domain, like Einsten, Abe Lincoln, God, etc.

Oh, I thought they would because I saw that Warner Bros. was working on the game too (I saw the logo on the website).

Shoop Da Whoop is racist? Lol how
You really don't know? Shoop da whoop is an old horrible meme with a little black kid firing his laz0r. Shoop Da Whoop wasn't originated from the picture with cell firing his laz0r. The firing of the laz0r was included in the shoop da whoop meme which is why people think they are the same thing.

given the objectnaut engine, most anything is possible. adjective will, for the most part, not work, however you can summon an object and change it characteristics (summon ladder, summon red paint, use paint with ladder).

and objects can be combined in any way shape or form via use, glue, or rope

i really wished that they would offer any company to allow their copyright material into the game, every company that i've heard comment on the game wished that they're stuff was in it, so they should at least strike a deal with nintendo's characters or something.

i also wonder if the objectnaut engine is so advanced that heat gets transferred via objects insulation or conduction properties like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUYRSPaqUk8...feature=related or if that was just from the heat slightly above the lava...

i never thought i would say this but this game is only possible on the ds and no other console.
Not really, its possible on many of them. Might even be better on others.

If this was on the PC it'll probably become one of the most played time wasters. Just like Tetris, Bejeweled & Solitaire.

I don't consider PC as a gaming console.and how would you write in any other consoles other than the DS.tapping buttons?good luck with that.it may be possible with the wii.but it would be difficult with the wiimote.a stylus is really necessary to play this game.
