Hello:

My friend wanted me to check what kind of screen my CFW New 3DS XL has, so he told me to install 3DSident. I installed it, opened it and checked the info about the 3DS, and closed it.

After closing it, I got the "an exception has occurred" error, telling me to press A to save something or press any other button to reboot. It would not reboot, so I had to do it manually. When I turned the system back on, it booted right back to the error message. This happened a couple more times. I let it stay off for about 2 minutes and turned it on again, and all was fine. I immediately deleted 3DSident.

Does anyone know what may have caused this? I've modded quite a few 3DS/2DS consoles and have never had any issues like this.

Thanks!

Other than corrupt data from a fake/faulty SD card or impatience in mashing the (HOME) and (Start) buttons to exit *.3dsx app and Hombrew Launcher, the 3DS does occasionally hiccup for normal use.

If you get a continual error turning off and on the system, you can try the battery trick to reset RAM and minor boot loops.
