Gaming scared of bricking psp 3000

aight so i just gota new psp 3000 and the firmwares at 5.03, i wanna flash it with cfw but im scared of bricking it (ive modded my wii but nothing other than that) if it does get bricked is there a way to reverse it? Or should i just go and buy a 2000 specifically for hacking

With a 3000 if you flash you end up with a brick...that Motherboard is non flashable.

There are temporary versions of CFW and permanent versions. 3000s only support temporary, such as 5.03 GEN-C, loaded through ChickHEN, as the motherboard won't allow permanent versions like GEN-D3.

Flashing deletes EVERYTHING in the psp's flash memory and replaces it with your own, while installing simply replaces some files and/or adds new ones.
