Hi, I have a friend who had a Vita on which they used Henkaku and possibly some other CFW stuff. They had purchased the Vita used, and had never reset the PSN account because they didn't use PSN.

Recently, the Vita was water damaged and will no longer turn on, so it is assumed bricked / broken. The friend purchased a new Vita, and hoped to continue playing, but when they put the memory card in, it wasn't able to recognize / access the information because it is associated with the old Vita / PSN account.

Is there any way to copy their saves off, and connect them with a new Vita / PSN account? Right now, there is no way for us to access the saves since the old Vita does not work.

Is there a USB memory card reader they could use, and would they be able to copy the data without access to the original account? If they bought an additional vita memory card, and set up CFW, is there a program that would let them copy the old saves from the old memory card by hot swapping them or something?

thanks for any advice!

Wow, that sounds perfect, thank you so much for the post. I'll have them try it and see how things go. Any other advice is still appreciated :)
