This is still unclear to me. In your first post it says to dump?
Atmosphere's LayeredFS only requires the new files to mod the original files. There's no need to dump the collection.

cue + bin files (and ini, if you want to active widescreen and 4MB) are the bare minimum required to swap games.

So:
  • Get the game you want to replace in cue + bin or cue + bins format.
  • Rename the cue to Cotton2.cue, don't touch the bin file/s.
  • Move all files to atmosphere/contents/0100094014BE4006/romfs
  • Launch the collection and play Cotton 2.

Dumping was only to experiment with the files and get an idea of the workings of it. To actually play Saturn games you dont need to dump anything.

Simply;

Install one of the games. Either the Triple Collection or each game as a standalone depending on where you "get" the game ;)
Create a Title Id folder of your chosen game and place in your "Contents" folder for atmosphere or "Titles" folder for SXOS.
0100094014BE4006 for Collection
010077001526E002 for Boomerang standalone
0100A18015268002 for Cotton 2 standalone
Place a "romfs" folder inside the title ID folder
Place your Saturn roms in romfs folder in .bin format
Rename the .cue file for your saturn roms to either Cotton2.cue for the collection/Cotton 2 standalone or CottonBoomerang.cue for Boomerang Standalone
Reboot your switch for changes to take effect
Launch game.

I don't know if it's just me but once I change the cart to 4MB in the ini I can no longer save states or exit the ingame menu, it just locks up.. I can still press the Home Button to get back to HOS though.

Just in case, delete the savegame of the collection (through HOS Data Management) and try again.

I tried 4MB on Shadow Over Mystara and it worked fine.

Nope, still happens when I save a State.. It could be related to the fact the Game is a rom hack? perhaps the rom hack is doing some weird stuff under the hood?

Yea. I was the one who posted it :P
The game itself works great.. its the menu and saves state is when it crashes.
I think the author of this hack has other 4MB hacks, have you tried them?

The only hack that comes to my mind is the Vandal Hearts quick loading 4MB mod. Maybe it is worth checking.

Can you check the save integrity with a Saturn emu on PC?
Maybe it’s creating a corrupt save.

I dont even think it creates the save state, it freezes on the Save state confirmation menu.
Weird, does the game creates a save file bigger than standard Saturn game? Could be the way it’s patched causes issues, would worth trying the vanilla japanese version and see if still happens.

I fully admit, I've just been having a major brainfart for a couple of days thinking Radiant Silvergun was on Switch, which is why I hadn't prioritized it... I just tested it, I have no idea about latency, but from feel, sight, and sound, the game runs perfectly IMO.

I'm going to finish testing a couple of more games and I'll update my list on Page 1 in a few.
