Hello all.
This is a stab in the dark but I have inherited a satellite dish and wondered if, as gaming had dabbled in satellites, is there anything I can tap into? Is there still some services out there I or stone crazy homebrew option, with for example the SNES?
Thanks

Nothing that utilizes an actual satellite dish. If you know what you're doing you can use it to watch Free-to-Air (FTA) satellite broadcasts on your TV, but nothing that's going to work with your SNES.

Satellaview for SNES was only released in Japan, and was very pricey, not many people had it. Pretty sure there's nothing useful you can do with those units anymore.

If you're interested in using your satellite dish for FTA stuff, check out satelliteguys.us.

I think he thinks he himself meant Satella View, but I think he thinks Satella View was just a SNES with a satellite dish plugged up its ass Cartman style no add-ons required. I think.

If you're tech savvy you could always modify it and turn it into a fucked up wifi signal booster.

Thank you! That is something to look into! Yeah I suppose it would be crazy if there was a homebrew broadcast from a satellite!
