I installed A9LH last night and everything went smoothly but when I went to play Smash the SaltySD files wouldn't load into my game. I reinstalled the SaltySD file but that still did nothing. I don't know what else I'm supposed to do.

I do believe you need an emunand for saltySD. The a9lh install process gets rid of the emunand partition. You should try making a new one.
But why do you need emuNAND for SaltySD? Doesn't A9LH do everything emuNAND does?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

you could always use luma or reinand. or is saltySD a special type of game modding file system?
It's a special type of game modding file system.

"[MEGA] 1.1.6 SaltySD EUR and USA" Google that without quotes and try to find the download. If my memory serves me then you'll get a SaltySD folder and a cia. Install cia and put folder on root.
Also as long as you have luma which you should also refer to this post: https://gbatemp.net/threads/smash-selector.431245/#post-6455755 IT'S SO CONVENIENT FOR SMASH! Basically it automatically can switch between every modpack including original smash with literally a few clicks and it's in cia form! So straight from 3ds

maybe it'll work now? and you mean the tool right? Trust me it should work I use it on n3ds and o3ds. Just have all the modpacks you want on your sd card in the saltysd folder and when your in the cia just navigate with the d-pad and click a on the mod you want or regular smash

I got it to work now. :) I didn't have the external code checked off in the Luma set up.
