With ARN, try disabling the "use firm from sysnand", see if that fixes it for you. With ShadowFW, it's not possible since I had to remove a lot of checks and code blocks to drop emunand support.

They worked fine under ARN. When ShadowFW boots to sysNAND is it in standard FW environment or is it 9.0 patched to allow exploits to work.

I was talking about her, not you. I have several years of experience in C/C++, but I could never wrap my head around ASM on any platform (minus the absolute basics). Anyone could do what you did - removing COMMENTED code parts...
True, anyone could, but nobody did for some reason.

It always takes the firmware from NAND and patches it on the fly.

@Shadowhand, thanks for all the support. Unfortunately it looks like GBA does not work on 9.2 sysNAND with your CFW. I will keep an eye on your thread for future developments. Looks like I'll have to use AuReiNand for my GBA fix. Thanks again.

Don't get me wrong. You can do as you please with GPL'ed code as long as you publish the code and give credit to the other authors. But I have a really hard time calling the removal of the config menu and some code a real contribution meriting giving it your name. I don't really see the added value, but if others do, fine. I'd hardly call ARN bloatware though. If you do pull through and add some real value, then OK, but right now, the only difference between this and ARN is the one or two ticks you have to set on ARN to make it work on the first boot. Thats hardly a significant improvement, sorry.

I'm happy with the way you worded it. Yes I'm aware that it's ARN-Lite as it stands right now, but I'm working on good stuff, I promise.

Also I never called ARN bloated or bloatware.
Does it have it has features I don't need? Yes, but I don't even dare talking shit about ARN.
It's nicely coded, nicely commented, very well done, and my work (be it removal or not), is based on ARN. I'm thankful for @Aurora Wright for her great work on every bit of ARN.

He made AuReiNand sysNAND only and stripped the uneccessary code and patches. Very appealing to people like me who just want the basic functions like GBA/DSi/3DS loading. Unfortunately this requires sysNAND to be on 10.7 to enjoy GBA support. I will continue to use AuReiNand despite all the extra features I do not use (because it works). If GBA loading can be achieved from 9.2 sysNAND using this CFW, I will give it another go round (cause like I said I like basic).

I'm not promising anything, but I may look into it later.

I'am a "Newcomer" with only 30 post's since 04.01.2016 !
But i cant understand what happened here (and in other threads)........
There are so many people (kids i believe) who have nothing to say realy ....... but fill a thread with a RELEASE with scumm!
Thats IMAO not a good choice!
Sorry but it is not easy to read a thread like that from the beginning to the end (AND I'AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO DOES THAT TO KNOW WHAT I'AM TALKING ABOUT!)

Now a BIG thanks @Shadowhand for the new CFW :)
It is running on my OLD 3DS with A9LH (delebile) fork together with all the other CFW (see my signature).
GBA games are working perfectly (i have the patched AGB_FIRM installed!).
And NTR is running perfect too with the firmware.bin in the root of my SD.

So now i have 6 CFW installed and i'am happy that i can TEST them all and use the right one for all the fun i want to have with my 3DS ;)
AGAIN THANKS for all the hard (FREE) work you've done!

Cool, I haven't been called a kid for quite a while. What you (appearently) don't get is the problem of fragmentation of the code base. It's OK to fork if you add some real work (and I'll give @Shadowhand the benefit of the doubt that he will), but if your fork does only one thing, all you do is fragment the userbase and make support (in this forum for example) a nightmare. Another thing that happens often is, that forks fail to keep up with improvements upstream, so you get a thousand useless forks down the way and have to convince many, many "minimalists" having problems that their fork of choice is outdated.

I didn't say @Shadowhand will do so, but I've seen it many, many times.

Also, like I already said: ARN is not blotware. If you manage to set up A9LH, you can manage to set up one or two ticks in the config on the first boot. And in times of 250GB microSD cards, I don't see the benefit of saving a few KiB either.

Too many forks can hurt an open source project, they should be rare and only used when adding real value and keeping up with changes upstream.

We'll see if @Shadowhand will do this.

This will be a ONE time respond to something like that in a THREAD (from me)!
(If you want to discuss something with ME PERSONALY write me a PM!)
All what you wrote is intersting......but i'am not a programer i'am a USER!
What is interesting for me is USING as many CFW's as possible to find the one i will then use for a longer time!
Everything you wrote is a discussion you should have with the persons involved in PRIVATE (IRC - PM or whatever)

If you want a discussion about this in deep please write me a PM so the thread stay's CLEAN as it should IMHO!
Thanks

I don't want to discuss this with you personally. You made it perfectly clear that this is some kind of hunter-gatherer thing to you and you don't care about maintenance and support. Also, you have a pretty authoritarian tone for someone without a mod-badge.

@stl25 Can you try the build I attached?

I dropped the arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of sd and made a ShadowFW folder on root of sd with nothing inside. Launched GBA game and got the an error has occurred message again.

My system:
N3DS XL Hyrule Edition 9.2.0-20U
64 GB microSD (has emuNAND partition but ShadowFW launches into sysNAND fine)
A9LH installed

Do you have firmware.bin on the root of your SD?
