I downloaded it and looked at the files but i have a question...
when i extraced it there are files in the system folder called g6dsload.eng. Why g6 and why .eng? theres also a .jp and .gb one.

haha, so they managed to stick to a release date. Took em a couple of tries, and now we english speaking plebs get to wait through another few release dates.

So, right now it can't play roms?

It was kinda obvious that only JP version was going to be released first.
o well, i dont have a m3.

What they are doing is making incompatible firmware so that people who had the old carts need to buy the new ones in order to use it.

In other words, instead of buying one cart and being secure for future updates of firmware including M3 Sakura (Which was originally stated to be for M3 Real), they will force you to buy the new one if you want this 'better' support, in which case they are doubling profits, because you have to buy the cart all over again.

The downfall will be that people won't put money into a second cart by a company that shits on them, not people with half a brain anyhow, instead they will move on and get an SCDS1, CyclodS, or AceKard RPG, at which point they are making a single payment and getting quite nice constant support and firmware updates without having to worry about problems such as them ditching them by making a new cart that's unsupported and better.

Unless you actually have more to go on than just the fact that the current build has an issue with commercial ROMs, you really have no base making wild claims like that.

Actually, M3Sakura isn't able to run NDS and GBA either, just the same as M3Real......People M3Sakura=M3Real....

I've been talking to Densetsu3000, and Japanese are just as dazzled as we are, nobody knows what is going on...

i don't know about that.... i mean... flashcart's main purpose is to run roms...

why would M3 release a homebrew only cart? That makes little or no sense if they want to sell these units.

In any case, my reasoning behind it, is that it's a general thing to do for companies.

I suppose I'll wait for them to get it working with all M3 Reals, if they even bother. I wonder how it took them this long and they'd still release it with problems.

Well, maybe they're trying to sell the M3 Sakura as a homebrew/media card because they can do that more publicly and avoid legal trouble and either add rom support later or keep developing the original firmware so the hardware can still be used to play backups.

In the SYSTEM folder, you can notice a cheat.db file as well as

Densetsu, hurry up and test it!!!
