What files can you convert to DPG? Is .FLV included?

Also, is there a better DPG converter than the one with the Sakura Tools?

flv is one of the least supported common video filetypes.
for most, if not all, converters you have to convert it to avi or mpg first.

i recommend getting batchDPG unofficial.
it outputs high quality video which runs perfectly on m3sakura.

Do you have any suggestions as to what settings i should be using? I'm converting a youtube video if that helps. I don't really want OMGTHISISLIEKHIDEF quality, just so as long as it's not entirely pixelated, or somewhere similar to a youtube stream.

here are my settings
[Video]
Framerate=21
Profile=High
Width=256
Height=192
VideoBitrate=386
VideoBitrateMax=512
Passes=1
Resizer=Spline16
[Audio]
AudioBitrate=128
Samplerate=32768
Mode=Joint stereo
Normalize=1

OH NOES! It says the conversion failed and I need to put it in a video player to see the error message or something? Can some one help me?

So yeah, the conversion keeps failing, is there anything I can do? In the meanwhile i'm trying to download an .avi file of the video. (Vixy.net isn't working for me)

Upon looking at the file made by BatchDPG that it told me to look at, it said that the video and audio were not supported.
I'm gonna try some other version of BatchDPG

If I remember corectly when batchdpg tells you to run it thru a media player it means that you are missing a codec. I would try installing a K-lite codec pack or something that will do the same thing.
Hope it helps...

Well, i downloaded some videos with www.zamzar.com, they looked fine when i played the .avi files(big file though), then converted it to .dpg with the default settings. Then I played it with the player in the Sakura Tool-pack, and it looked all messed up. I mean, you could see some of the video, but there were blocks of color everywhere, it wasn't watchable. So did i use the wrong settings? Is BatchDPG Unofficial a bad converter? Was it www.zamzar.com? Was it the Sakura dpg player? I'm going to try and see if it would work normally if played on my ds.

Have you tried the DPG encoder included (dpgenc.exe in the dpgtools folder) with Sakura Tools? That's all I ever use, and it gives great results. It's faster than the previous DPG encoders made by MoonLight (the dev behind MoonShell, M3Sakura, and for that matter DPG as a video format), and makes the DS a truly decent personal video player (I use my DS for vid watching/time killing way more than my PSP these days).

Good luck, and don't get discouraged.

But batchDPG can encode higher quality videos.

Also use the settings I gave earlier...and you have to have avisynth 2.57 or else it wont work.....if you have k-lite codec installed uninstall it and install the cccp codec pack.

Hmmm I have read this before is the cccp codec pack that much better than klite? Just curious because I have always used klite with little trouble, but if it really is better I might try that.

there are several problem that I have encounter with Sakura DPG converter..

somehow DPG tool doesnt seem to like some common audio stream, it keep giving me audio stream error while converting..

but I used BatchDPG just fine...........

the reason why I choose DPG tool over batchDPG because DPG tool have a lot better picture quality, and not choppy like what happening to batchDPG converted video playing in moonshell while have massive color change during the play....

anyone can figure this out how to let DPG tool convert almost all the audio stream?
