I've seen 2 different versions for julian's sysupdater (one with libkhax and the other with SULib), which one have people been using?

i took the sysupdater from the first post of this tutorial: http://gbatemp.net/threads/simple-guide-to-downgrading-your-3ds.407888/

dunno who's build that is.

Comparing filesizes that looks like julians latest version which uses libkhax for better bootrate.

Found this from that thread:

DONT USE THE ONE OF TUXSH. IT COULD HARDBRICK YOUR 3DS.
The differnece between the two i uploaded is simple:
-SUlib -> works
-libkhax ->higher bootrate than with SUlib

What is the purpose of this poll? One checks to make sure you have the right files and the other doesn't.

Any perceived differences are just due to chance.
the extra functions could lead to more instability? i'm not sure on that. nevertheless, i'm not going to use safesysupdater myself anymore.

Seems unlikely as once the downgrade itself starts the process is exactly the same. Having said that, I've only ever used the first release myself and didn't have any issues on 2 or 3 different machines. I even tried updating and re-downgrading several times on the same system to check everything.

"Sysupdater" is pretty vague because there's 4 afaik that use mchhax2:

Julian's libkhax - downgraded with this, softbricked 3 times but after I formatted sysnand I got it on first try, O3DS. Also recommended this one for my friends and they all got on first try as well (as in, no partial downgrade or softbrick). installs safe mode first and deletes title by title so realistically the worst that'll happen is a softbrick
Julian's SUlib - should be the same thing as above but with different bootrate
Steveice's - wasn't very successful apparently and got overshadowed by Julian's later, don't really know how it works. But afaik never caused hardbricks
TuxSH's - first version, risky as fuck because it first deletes everything then starts installing, so if something happens during it you'd be missing a bunch of titles.

Idk which build Safesysupdater is based off, but it can't really get safer or more successful than Julian's other than preventing the user itself from fucking up, which is what it does with all the checks and the JP title skip (and I hope it removes the Update button as well? Because that's known to brick in mchhax2 builds). That said, the "perfect" build would be Julian's with SafeSU's checks.

Unfortunately we only get one softbrick these day... wish I had tried it earlier.

I found that trying to downgrade from 9.9 would cause it to crash halfway and cause blackscreen until you remove sd card.. and no sys settings working. First upgrading to 10.3 is the key to not failing partially (blackscreen) from what I've seen in the 3ds's I have done.
