Hacking safeb9sinstaller keeps popping up on my 3ds

My friend tried to install custom firmware on my old 3ds xl. everything was going great until the safeb9s installer keeps popping up again and again. he removes the sd card from the console and in does not turn on. can my 3ds be saved or do I have a bricked system. help please

Remove boot.firm from your sd and replace it with latest luma and follow the rest of this guide.

It sounds like your friend didn't following the guide from start to finish. It would appear that SafeB9SInstaller did its thing and installed B9S. The problem is it's loading boot.firm from the SD card which is actually SafeB9SInstaller. You should be a point where you can just put Luma on your SD card now so that it boots.
