Hacking Rxtools freezing after emunand update

This is my first time doing this, but anyways I updated my emunand to 10.1 and now rxtools feezes when I try to boot into emunand. I made sure I was in emunand before updating and I also made sure I updated through the settings app. I dont have a GW, but I have tried booting it through both Cubic Ninja and the web browser. I have also tried 4 different rxtools builds. Any suggestions?

It is actually a 2DS running 6.0 or 6.1. Can't quite remember and I am in the process of formatting emunand again so I cant check

Actually, I just managed to get it working with an RxTools version from a month ago. Is there any downside to having the older version?

I believe it is the correct one. Now I am having trouble installing cias. For some reason my dbs folder deleted itself. I just replaced it and and pasta. I'm about to run Pasta again and try installing another CIA

I believe I have everything straightened out. Thanks for all of the suggestions and for taking the time to try and help out. It is much appreciated.

Crap. So my CIAs will install, but wont play. They just get stuck at the Nintendo 3DS screen. Am I supposed to be installing these on sysnand or emunand? Because I can't even open ninjhax from emunand. If I try it just takes me to the web browser. Also the installed CIAs, FBI.cia for example, dont even show up on emunand. Sorry I'm a complete noob at this haha

Ok I will, but am I supposed to run the CIAs from sysnand or emunand?

You can run ninjhax2, but you can install cia with it. You need to inject FBI into your emunand.

I think we are getting somewhere. I'm not quite sure I need to start over. My problem is I cant get FBI to inject into emunand. Mainly because I cant get into Ninjhax.
I am using Ninjhax, not Ninjhax 2.0. I thought Ninjhax 2 wasnt compatible with rxtools and Pasta? I literally just got into the 3ds scene yesterday so I have alot of things to catch up on and all of the info is kinda overwhelming to catch up on.

You're doing it wrong. You don't need ninjhax to inject FBI, follow the step 4a of the tutorial I posted above. (assuming you're using the latest nightly)

That did it. I thought I was finished after step 3. Step 4a said "Only for users without the Gateway card or a Cubic Ninja game (O3DS and 2DS)". I have cubic ninja so I didn't think that applied to me. But anyways, thanks again for the help and being patient!
