Hacking Rxtool to reinand

I have a n3dsxl and I wanna update to 10.3-10.4 on emunand. I'm currently using rxtool. How would u go about updating?

I believe the process is as follows ::

Steps to follow:
1) You wait.
2) Check if RxTools 3 released
2.a) if it's not released yet. Soon, it will be. Repeat Step One
2.b) I'll write the rest as soon as RxTools 3 is released. Which should be very soon.

How do you boot rxtools at the moment?

Right now I boot emunand cold boot. It automatically goes in

Using a boot manager or just straight? The best way would be to use a bootmanager and add an entry for reinand.

It's as easy as putting the files on the sd card and duplicating the rxtools entry in boot cfg but point it to Reinand.dat instead.

Download and extract from https://github.com/Reisyukaku/ReiNand/releases/download/v3.1/ReiNandv3.1.zip
Next download the firmware that's linked on https://github.com/Reisyukaku/ReiNand
Place everything on sdcard, firmware.bin goes in the "rei" folder.
If you use cold boot, copy ReiNand.3dsx from \3ds\ReiNand\ to root and rename to boot.3dsx. If you use a boot manager, edit the config and path to either the .3dsx or ReiNand.dat.
Boot up, go to emunand and update to 10.4 from system settings (Please make sure that you're in emunand, there's supposed to be a REI- string next to version but it's not there on my n3ds).

If you're on 9.2 sysnand and 9.5 emunand you'll see if you're on emunand by just checking the version.

If you use rxtools and reinand do you then have two emunands? Or do they share the one.

It will use one emunand for both.

I haven't used it so no idea if it works for RxTools or reinand.

I guess you could use separate sdcards for rx and rei, but that would be annoying as you'd have to unscrew the back each time you wanted to use a different emunand.

At the moment, once you update emunand to 10.4 on a n3ds, rxtools will stop working with it.

Yes, or Cakes which also works fine.

That clears everything for me. I thought I would have to create a whole new emunand and use reinand instead of rxtool. So just like the above post. Replace all the rxtool files with reinand files.

you can use Freemultipatcher or NTR CFW to patch

but most CIAs nowdays are converted with "Simple 3DS to CIA Converter",it adds region free to the CIA
You have the option of converting 3ds roms by yourself too,the simple cia converter only requires exefs and exheader xorpad to be used
