Hacking Running backups without Wii U Gamepad

Hiya!

So this might be a silly question, but would it be possible to install the required software on a Wii U to run backups, without using the Gamepad (Pro controller only). I'm considering buying a used Wii U, but the Gamepad is not included/has gone missing. Mainly getting it to play BotW.

So, is it doable?

No you will need the Gamepad at least once, to install hacks and games, and access homebrewlauncher.
So, buying a WiiU without a Gamepad is a bad idea, unleasse you know someone from whom you could borrow Gamepad.

Though you could just skip the shrines that require it. I don't think it's required as part of the main story.

It's required if you're aiming for more hearts or stamina vessels. [Oh and also it's required in 100% run]
