Do you have a real R4 ?
If you do, you should use Wood R4 and you wouldn't have needed a fix,
or use R4 1.18 firmware and after having patched it worked perfectly for me.

You need to delete all files on you SD card (or do a backup) EXCEPT.nds and .sav files
Now, just extract Wood r4 on the root of your card ("_rpg" folder and "DS_menu" file)

Wood R4 is installed !

kk ive deleted all files and i back up my nds files with all there saves and the put root on the sd card and then i put my files back in so now it should work?
oh and by the way thankyou very much for your help you have taught me alot of things

ok thats done now but should the top screen be blue

all the menus are messed up really bad i managed to find my pokemon silver rom and it works fine but why in the menu of wood r4 is the top screen blue and theres lots of folders in ther bottem half that are empty

also i can hardly find any of my games and all my savs are gone even though i backed them up

Oh sorry I forgot about that, you must add ".nds" to all your saves (ex: save_name.nds.sav)

And about the calendar on top screen, it's haven't been fixed yet.

Not sure if everthing works. But police man keith is no longer freezing up on me turning me into a psyco!
