ROM Hack Rudolph's Universal "Child's Play" patch

Patch works great with ttdsi-a12 w/ ysmenu. Question is there a way to get the cheats running on a patched game, or do they only show up in the clean roms?

That's weird, most of cheats works for me with Rudolph's fix v2. And if cheats don't show up, it's not normal cause the fix is not supposed to change game id.

Hmm i know the cheats were working before i tried patching, but once i patched it using the jap translation patch, didn't show, then for Rudolf's, i got a clean rom and patched it but still didn't show. Maybe its my user-cheat that is out-of-date. Any chance anyone has a updated one? been trying to for a topic about it but no luck

this patch does not change the game ID.
here's the answer to your solution.

change the game ID to your current rom using r4cce.

This patch (v2) only freeze for me over 8 hours playing...

I used a clean HeartGold(U) ROM and still froze. Don't know how some of you got this to work but lucky you.

I tested on my M3 Simply with last M3 Firmware for the Simply hardware, using the Pokemon Soul Silver USA version!! It is working fine!! I am using 4 Badges and playing without freeze!!!! Holy Shit !!!! Thanks!!!

1. get clean rom
2. put clean rom into folder
3. click patch
4. let it patch
5. use the .nds not the .bak
6. play game.

also, the mirrors are for backups if the main link is broken.

I found a glitch!

When I talked to Kurt the PokeBall making dude it froze, showing some weird lines in the text box, I'll see if it happens again

EDIT: Don't worry, it seems it was a one time glitch!

Hey guys. I've tried it on a cart and I have something to report:

Patch is not working on iTouchDS running Sakura firmware via DualBoot. Game doesn't let you save, gives you the following error on top of two blue screens (in-game screens, not hardware failure or anything like that, music from game keeps playing normally) when you try to save via the in-game menu:

Error saving data.

The backup memory has failed.

The game may be played, but

it is impossible to save.


Please turn off the power.

It also did this when I tried to play the game on the iTouchDS without patching it, so it's as if the patch had no effect when the rom is tried on this particular flashcart.

Used V2 patch, followed all steps of patching perfectly.
