Advance Wars?
Age of empires?

There is a new AoE comming btw.
Those are turn based.

Robocalypse is the closest we've got to a proper RTS and is apparently great.
Locks Quest is very good.
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings is good but more of a RPG.
Command & Destroy is mediocre.
Populous DS not the best port.
Theme Park DS is pretty much the same as the PC version.
Eco-Creatures: Save the Forest I liked but most didn't
Worms: Open Warfare is bad
Worms: Open Warfare 2 is good

There are a few others but they're not worth mentioning.

Robocalypse is simply awesome (though it does have some quirks you need to learn to get round, otherwise they'll drive you insane

And what about Settlers? That's an RTS. I haven't played it yet, is it any good? ('Cuz seeing as it's not on the list of "games worth mentioning"... does it really suck that bad?)

The Settlers seems good at first, but lots of bad design flaws ruin it sadly.

I really liked Eco-Creatures too, we should start a 2 man fanclub

Robocalypse is the best RTS we currently have on the DS. Not perfect and the rally point ordering instead of direct command on units without the cowboy hero is a bit bad.
Imo FFXII Revenant Wings is also among one of the best RTS out there, but it seems to be one of those 'love or love it less' kind of games for most.

I liked Anno 1701 a lot, isn't it RTS?

Err, it is technically. I do believe the person meant more of a Command & Conquer style RTS though.

Command & Destroy is just about as close as you'll ever get to an actual C&C game on the ds platform. It just uses passwords which suck.

It depends what you're looking for.
Like everybody else said, Robocalypse is the purest RTS out there (on ds of course), but it isn't perfect.
For tower defense, there's Lock's Quest (has alot of RTS elements), and Ninjatown, which is straight tower defense. There's also Final Fantasy RW which is a buttered down RTS.

But yeah the DS isn't doing too bad, but it could be doing better.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
