I apologize for the lack of database updates last week.

Ever since I updated my laptop to v10.5.2 of Mac OS X, the wireless network has become so unstable that I haven't been able to get anything done. Blame Apple on this one :

I agree...not sure exactly what resolved this for me but it was taking 10 seconds to resolve any dns lookup. I disabled IPV6 in networking section also switched to opendns.com and that seemed to help too. I did like 5 or 6 other things too so it's hard to say exactly what fixed my problems but now everything is gravy.

Thanks for the update, though youre busy!

I have a fast question. This is a great program BTW so glad I found something for OS X

Is there a way I can get it to just backup all of my saves? I know it does it when I remove a ROM from the memory card. Is there a way I can do this before I remove a ROM? Like just get it to backup all the saves for every ROM at once?

Also I can't figure out what the stars mean and how to change them and what does the USED SPACE bar show?

Hiya,

It's all mentioned in the manual

As for backing up every save, don't think so, because how would Rominator know what game the save is for?

As for the stars, they mean that a trainer is available for that game (it will be a deprecated feature for the next release, so whatever) and the used space is for the amount of space the ROM actually takes.

Rominator (at least for the CycloDS) would know what game the save is for because the file name would be the exact same. Instead of .nds it would be .sav however. And I'm not trying to sound like a smartass but how does it know what the correct save is when you remove a game from your memory card?

Sorry I didn't realize there was a manual, should have read more carefully

Hello,

First of all, thanks for a great program! Very useful and easy to use.

The reason I'm posting, however, is that I got a problem. I checked for updates today and there was a database update (hurray). However, after clicking "Download" and waiting on the progress bar, I got the message:

"Error: Rominator has encountered an error: Error code 1074"

And the database update is still there for download, but if I try again, the same error comes up. I'm running as administrator.

Nevermind, I figured it out. There was a hidden Rominator.exe proccess running, and it was holding the game database hostage

Has anybody been having a problem with the Statistics page not recognizing (0054) as a European Rom, it used to be and with the last 2 database updates it is now being recognized as a Usa Rom?

"0054-Tiger Woods PGA Tour (v01)" Is a USA ROM, at least according to Advanscene.

QUOTE(xblackoutx @ Mar 16 2008, 05:33 AM) Just set it up now. Really good program. Still figuring out a couple of things though but i'll get there.

I suggest you read the manuals, mine first

Any chance you could divulge any of your planned features for Rominator 2? Screenshots or mockups? I am really looking forward to it!

Rominator 2? We're at Rominator 5.3.2 right now

I'll take some screenshots as soon as I finish up the DS portion of it, which should be by this weekend

Hey Hankchill, Rominator's an awesome program, but I'm having some problems.

For example, I'm getting these problems :/

Is it because I trimmed them before the Rominator 'found' them? And compressed' em?

Looking forward to seeing what is to come!

G'day guys first post here. Does anyone know how to set it so the game names on your card show the default way (i.e. the way they show up normally for example New Super Mario Bros. on the top line and Nintendo on the bottom line)?

Hi,

Try using the rZipper utility (from my sig) to decompress and then recompress your games causing issues. If that doesn't help, double-click on the icons on the game icon in the list there.

So, are you asking if you can view the games in the list based on their internal information, or if you can modify the information? Your question is not clear, but I'll answer both.
• You cannot view the games in the list by internal info
• If you want to edit the display name, right click on your game and select 'Edit Internal Information'. However, this feature will be deprecated for the next release as I want to strictly move over to the management side of things, and not the editing side.
