Feature request:

Include the internal name in the list of options for renaming.
(And/or the cartridge code)
It makes it really easy to sort out region dupes, since they don't always have the same title ...

Many many thanks!

Already a step ahead of you

You have the version number completely wrong *hint hint*

I won't say the real name because I don't think Henry wants to disclose it now... It'll be a surprise

Nao Nao Chris, don't you DARE disclose any information or else I'm cutting you off the beta list

Just wondering if anyone else has problems with this program with Vista, or if there is just something I am missing. I downloaded and unzipped the folder to my desktop to test out the program before I moved it to my permanent program files folder. I select which folder to grab ROMS out of. THe ROMS then show up in the library, but that is all I can do with them. Box Art never show up, and when I try to drag and drop them into the other areas (for trimming, or mainly to test the integrity) they just don't add. Any ideas?

Thanks!

RTFM.

You didn't check for updates to download the DS Database.

this is a long thread so i'm not sure if it's been brought up yet. if i open an nds file with Rominator in OS X, that file shows up with a duplicate in my DSTT menu named "._gamename.nds" with a 4m file size.

this only affected my DSTT. on my EZ Flash V there was no issue.

That's an invisible file called the Resource Fork, that is generated by Mac OS X. This is by no means a Rominator issue.

My suggestion would be to use something like BlueHarvest to get rid of invisible files that Mac OS X generates whenever you remove your microSD card from your computer.

Hi all, First I'll like to thank everyone that has made this App possible.

I tried searching for the answer to my questions but didn't find it. Sorry if this has been asked before.

I'm basically looking for the work flow for working with Rominator an a library on multiple DVD/CDs.

Say I have 3 CDs with roms. And an empty library. If I insert the first CD and refresh, I get the list.
If I insert the second CD and refresh The previous list goes away and I get a new list. Also if the CD is removed
the App keeps complaining.

Is there a way to keep all the roms listed on Rominator even if they are spread across several CDs? working OFFLINE
sort of speak. If I add a new CD can it just add it to the current list?

As a bonus, Seamless support for this type of media would be nice. as you add CDs the app can keep track of each CD.
when one clicks on the list of roms the App can prompt the user to insert correct CD number. again this is just icing I just
want to take advantage of the search and filter features.

Thanks

PS. I noticed that some of my roms are in rar format and weren't pull in. what are my options?

Thanks a lot guys.

Yeah, currently the way Rominator works is it's meant for everything in 1 unified location.

The next version will allow for a much seamless method of having multiple discs. There's still lots to get done, but in the end it'll pay off
biggrin.gif

As for RAR, that is unsupported, and probably never will be. I think it will only be NDS, Zip, rZip, and GBA (in the future).

Great news, I think I might have found a workaround on the meantime. Instead of refreshing I tried loading a CD at a time then selecting all files on explorer and dropping them on the library, The games get appended.

If I do this with all the CDs, Do you think it will work. I only care about searching and filtering the list and viewing boxart and game info. I plan to add the games to the card manually.

In theory a library with ALL the games so far (names, picture and info) without having the actual rom would do. The tool could tell me those roms that I really have and those missing, similar to the toolbox boxart app. Is this even possible give the application constrains? or do you need the actual rom to display detail info?

Also as far as the RAR files I can probably reZip them on the local drive then dropping them as well.

Do you think this will work?

Thanks.

I really like Rominator, it's a great program, but that's when I used it on Windows. I know you're having problems with the Linux version with the RealBasic, but do you know when will you be able to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot!!

So far so good; the next version *does* work on Linux

I'm just trying to find out where now as I go along, it will stop working so I can get around it.

Rominator *bleep* is going along well. Just a few more code for him to insert and then I will beta-test along with Henry, and if everything goes well expect it soon!

Wow, great program. It seems a little hacked together, but the functionality is perfect. I can't complain though, you don't see me making awesome software for free. Just a quick question: I noticed that Rominator couldn't grab data for my 2 newest ROMs, Apollo Justice and that stupid Evangelion slot game. So I was wondering what site Rominator scrapes for the data.

Sorry if someone asked this already, but I don't know how to search through a specific thread.
