Hey I'm having some trouble with my Rominator.

20080329-bxnmifkfppru6sqef4tgrhmxgi.jpg

My game icon images are not appearing, and the trimming size is broken (but the bar is not)

Exit Rominator and delete 'cache.rsd' in your Rominator Data folder just to see if it helps.
No that didn't seem to do it for me. I deleted all of the .rsd files and it didn't fix anything.

After deleting rsd's
Make sure you check for and then install database update.

@ leavemealone. Try going into tools > settings > renaming. Here you can decide how you want the game to be displayed once you import it.

In tools > settings > display is an option to turn "show game icons" on or off.

Hope this might help some.

I tried those tips and the turn on turn off thhttp://gbatemp.net/style_images/2/folder_editor_images/rte-email-button.pnge game icons did not work.

I have had it set to auto rename like this:

And this is the picture of how it is broken. The trimmed amount is now working for some reason.

@ leavemealone Man, that´s a lot of space you´ve got there!!

Here´s another idea. Might take a while, depending on how many roms you have.

Try highlighting ALL the roms you have, then in the actions button (bottom, ~1/3 from the left) auto rename selected.

Just an idea, I think I had a similar prob, but it´s hard to remember, since mine´s run for fine for so long.

P.S: your screen looks somewhat different then mine, maybe you´re using vista?? I´m using xp sp2.

Try removing the games from your list and trying again. There's a little refreshing bug that I never ended up fixing before rewriting the new version I hope to release soon. Also, are the games stored on your drive locally? If so, it shouldn't be a problem.

Let me know.

Ah that did it. I feel stupid for not trying that right away.

No they are on an external drive if you need to know for future coding.

ok i have a problem:

i recently backed up all my saves with rominator and then formatted my SD card and changed the way rominator handles the renaming of files during flashing.

now when i try to put my backed up saves on the card they do not obey the new file names so i'm stuck with i.e

ROM: 0001 - game.nds
SAVE: game.sav

is there anyway i can rename all my saves?

If you're on a Mac, use http://www.power4mac.com/renamer/ . Select Remove Characters, then 1 From Left to # From Left.

Windows, I've heard good things about G6 Utilities (down at the bottom of http://www.gene6.com ) and Rename Master ( http://www.joejoesoft.com/cms/showpage.php?cid=108 )

Linux, I'm not even going to try to guess your setup and window manager. Depending on your distro you may already have something that'll do it, you can check your package manager for renaming utilities, you could hack together a script to do it (though if you could do that, you wouldn't be asking), if nothing else google.

**And I just reread your post, and thought about it, and this doesn't help or answer your question. But I'm still posting it because I spent all that time looking stuff up, dagnabbit. XD

I know of a ROM that does not have database info yet.

Here it is

XXXX - Game And Watch Collection (JP)

I ask you to not tell me what is missing, if it is, I've already been over it several times.

The XXXX games are all Club Nintendo games and not supported by Rominator.

Thanks.

Whoops, took so long to write Hank responded himself.

Also, a minor point, but there are also demos, Chinese iQue games, and kiosk and download station roms in the XXXX group. Not saying to add them, just clarifying.

I am fully aware

However, they won't be supported by Rominator. It is *only* for numbered releases.

I'm repeatedly getting a 1050 error every time I click or scroll within the program, and the some of my game identification data has gone away. It worked just fine yesterday...

mentioned multiple times, don't submit bugs here, there's a report system, however I'm not receiving any reports anymore because I'm fully aware of the issues.

I am also recoding the program to be a lot more stable.
