Does this program run on windows vista? I am getting a laptop but all the choices only come with vista.

I haven't designed it for Vista. If it works, good for you.

I won't support Vista though until Vista isn't a heaping pile of dung. I know I'll get a massload of complaints that Rominator isn't working properly if I try to compile for Vista, so it's not happening yet.

#1106 issue being nuked and affected numbered releases.  Are you going to leave it as is?  http://ds-scene.net nuked it along with http://www.advanscene.com and http://gbarts.free.fr/NDS/_pages/NDS_list-inc.php too.  I hope gbatemp does too.  So in other words Diner Dash should be 1111 instead of 1112.

thanks for your program...just tried it on mac for the first time yesterday..works great.

I'll nuke it when GBAtemp does

EDIT: Did they already? Sheesh, I need to keep up

I'll get a DB Update done tonight

Edit2: Nope, they didn't nuke it. I see the others did though. Again, I'll nuke it soon in my DB.

Rominator works splendid on Vista, TBH.

Depends on who's using it

I've already gotten complaints from some people that Vista won't operate correctly, and some people say that it works great for them... really, it's unpredictable

Any news on the next version release date? I am waiting for zip support
smile.gif

I'll be having my testers test a release candidate this weekend -- probably tomorrow night. If all is well, then it will be done
biggrin.gif

However, Zip support is still in the to-do, so we'll see how much time I have on the weekend.

There's a lot of new stuff though

This sounds like perfect timing

I'm just about to make my friend a disc that will install everything for him automatically, so he can get using his R4 straight away.

Phew, almost got kicked off the front page of NDS Hardware Devices and Utilities

Anyways, the release candidate is almost ready -- 1 more bugfix and I'll have my testers test tomorrow. I figure I might as well let you all know what's new for v3.5:
• Super-fast game archiving -- Can load all DS games in the list in 1 second
• Even faster Find field
• New option to Download all missing Box Art is available
• New option to export all selected games' icon to PNG
• New copy progress window, shows the progress; current game copying, progress bar, games remaining.
• Incorporated a new Skin feature -- this will coincide with another program, the Rominator Skin Designer -- allows for skinning the buttons and background
• Added in a Skin Browser -- any users who make skins, can submit them to me by email and I can add them to the database for other users to download online!
• Added in a feature to lock and unlock Rominator with a password -- can be set in the General settings.
• Statistics load even faster now, and you can filter the games by region!
• Added in an option to automatically rename to a different scheme when flashing -- this way, your games that are archived can have things like number, release group, etc, and when you flash you can have the name be only the title!
• And of course, a whole whack of bug fixes!

And planned for v4:
• Zip support (finally

)
• Game verification, to be sure your dumps are good.
• Game Descriptions
• Screenshots!

It's been a long road, but finally it's almost ready for the public

Thanks to my testers, and to all the people who've donated. Although I've not reached anywhere near my goal, just the idea that you guys are encouraging me to develop the software is all I need to keep me going forward. Stay tuned!

Excellent. Looking forward to testing this wonder!

Well my testers have already reported some bugs to fix or some changes to be made, so I'm going to do those today, and hopefully we'll be as bug free as possible. If all goes well, I might very well release tonight
smile.gif

Oh yes! (I am way too excited for this release)

Thanks for all the work by the way. It really is a treasure. Keep it up!

Glad to know you guys are pumped for it

There's one more bug that one of the testers is getting, that I can't replicate for the life of me. If I can't solve it by tonight, then I'll release it and we'll see how many users can get the same bug -- because I can't!

EDIT: If a mod could, would you mind changing the title description to 'Rom Manager for Mac OS X, Windows & Linux'
biggrin.gif

Allrighty, here's the good news:
Rominator has been released and is now at version 3.5. Changelog is on the previous page
biggrin.gif

Along with Rominator is a skin designer, where you can create your own look for Rominator.

Download Rominator v3.5:
Mac OS X
Windows
Linux

And download the Skin Designer below
Mac OS X
Windows
Linux

Remember, any skins you make, email them to me! I can place them up on the download server for all users to download via the Skin Archive Browser in Rominator.

Enjoy this release!
