With regard to compression I have been reading up on CDZ files (used in various PS1 emulators) where each image is compressed on a sector by sector basis.
Perhaps a split archive with zero (or some depending on expected resources) compression for the header all made into one file, compatibility may prove an issue but compression and existing implementations is really not my area.

I have two small requests. Neither are major features, but they would both make the program a little faster to use.

My list of games is pretty long. It would be great if I could jump around the list by pressing letters. This is a common feature in programs that list files. Windows Explorer does this for example.

The second feature would be that when I switch between lists (such as between the main list and my flash card), the list stays where it was. Sometimes I switch between the two a few times, which can lead to lots of scrolling.

Neither of these are critical, but please put them in if you get time and they are not too much trouble. Thank you again for the excellent program.

found an odd error, I've got my flashcard(r4) set up to use a card reader.
if for some reason I open rominator without the card inserted, it tries to read it, and cracks the *ahem*

lesson: only start rominator, with card inserted.
now if only I could remember to do that

After acquiring a few roms, I go and add them to my rom directory, boot up Rominator and find this:

romin_db_error_2.png

And notice this also:

romin_db_error.png

I have more roms, but Rominator doesn't show them.

Is it only me or the Linux version doesn't back up your .sav files when you erase a rom from your flashcard?
I also miss that big circle that showed if a rom had a .sav asociated (green) or not (red).

It'll be out when it's out XD

It's a huge change to the code, so it's taking some time. Plus we've had some family affairs to take care of, as well as work's been a little hectic. Don't you worry though, it'll be available soon.

A huge change as in uncovered bugs, or just adding more features? ;o

No, a huge change in the way Rominator handles the games. It won't be handling them 'live' anymore, so to say, but it will instead store all the data in a database. This way you can keep any roms anywhere you want, and Rominator will load up super-fast this way.

So rominator is broken until then? Can't we just down-grade or something?

-poke-

When are you going to get around to fixing your website? D:

Just wondering if Rominator has a built in check to see if it's a legit rom or a bricker... (Not sure if this has already been covered)

It has to be your files then, because I'm on OS 10.4.9 myself and use it without a hitch. Delete the ds database from the Rominator Data folder from the settings and redownload it.

You can't say that software is broken if it won't run for you. 90% of the bug reports that I've received are because of the indiviual's computer.
