I'm new to rom hacking, so I'm looking for some help in editing the tiles for Lode Runner DS (I figured I'd start with something simple). I'm currently using NitroExplorer 2 to extract files, and Tile Layer Pro to view tiles.
Inside the nds file is a whole lot of .afa files, which is where I'm assuming I'll be finding the tiles I need to edit. However, when I open them in TLP, they're all jumbled, even when I use the GBA setting. Can anyone offer a solution for extracting the tiles?
Also, I need suggestions for script dumping programs, or how to create one. I'm experienced in Java, C, and have messed around with a few other programming languages, so a tutorial on how to create a *trans program (e.g. SomaTrans) would be much appreciated.
