Announced earlier this year, Psyonix has finally revealed the launch date for the Nintendo Switch version of their breakout game, Rocket League. It'll be out on the e-Shop on November 14, and will sport bonus cars and in-game items based on Super Mario and Metroid. The game will also include cross play with PC and Xbox One, letting players duel online with people from other consoles.

EDIT: WB will be publishing a physical release of the game for Switch, but will release "sometime after" the digital version. The digital version will cost $19.99.

I already have the PC version, but I'm tempted to get a Switch version just to play it from my TV instead of my desk. Also portability. I can't find a physical release for it though, so I might wait on that.

Not sure if Psyonix ever confirmed a physical version. I know they confirmed the price would be the same as other platforms, don't think anything was said about a physical version though.

No portable version for me, don't have a switch . Console might not survive it either

Great, bought it on the Xbox and PS4 and now I'm buying it on the switch. Portable rocket league is worth it though, and im looking forward to getting back in there and making all my teammates scream and yell at me "who let this idiot 5 year old play rocket league? He stays on the walls the whole time and tries to hit the ball from there? idiot!" *Insert 11 year old rage tantrum here followed by the person chucking their switch across the room*

If it's more than €15 i'm not getting it, which is a shame because I really want Rocket League on the Switch. Just can't justify spending more on a game I already own on Pc.

Up to 4 players local I believe. And all those players can play online on the 1 system, like on pc.

Yes, but I've constantly seen it on sale for $10 on different platforms. So I see his reasoning for the game being priced less than $20, i'd guess maybe $15 should be the minimum regular asking price. I'm fine with the $20 myself.

Its more than 2 years old game. Selling it at its release price would be kind of scumbaggish wouldnt it? But then again.. I know Nintendo will do that exactly, same shit with doom and skyrim.
Also as rileysrjay said, it goes down to 10ish quite often.

It's not like the game has had an official price drop. That's how much it costs. You can pick up cheaper on other platforms, but that's because it's on sale or physical version being sold below rrp. It's not like Psyonix have just bumped up the switch price.

This game heats up a lot on my system, I'm worried about how much it will heat up the switch. I hope someone makes a dock with a fan cooling system soon.

Guess this will be a game I get on sale. If only they had some special edition, all dlc, least the price would increase enough to sell at retail. No way they would put a $20 game on switch carts.

Also would anyone mind playing with me so I can learn somethings? I really haven't played much since I bought it a few months ago, and I would least hope to find it fun. I own it on steam and have voice option.
