Robin Williams, 63, Passed Away

This came as such sudden news to me... rest in peace. I was actually just going to post this, but I guess you beat me to it.

One of the best comics, actors, and friends, his passing is truly terrible. A huge part of my childhood. :(

I can't even handle this news, Robin Williams was my childhood icon and a great man. His movies no matter how good or bad were always made better by him.
He will be greatly missed and honestly let the world with a void that could never be filled.
Rest in peace, Robin Williams.

The man battled a life long struggle with addiction, which is commonly coupled with a struggle with clinical depression (publicist confirmed also, as per Google). Clinical depression is a silent killer which needs no reason and is often not made known until it is far to late. Those who suffer from it are well know for carrying a smile on their faces long past the times when they feel like doing so. I can't help but wonder if he kpet up his battle against his addiction, which even once the drug is put down carries a Mental-Socio-Psychological component that can last a lifetime to deal with. ie it changes how we see and deal with everything in our lives... RIP Robbin W.

Robin Williams was a comic genius, and a joy to watch. I remember seeing him on a CNN interview where he pretty much completely took over with his improv skills.

I saw the breaking news on tv and read it on facebook right when the news broke and saw a bit of it on the 11o clock news. Will be watching news and tmz 2mor for more news. So sad.

RIP Robin Williams

This is so terrible. I have no words. I haven't felt like this since Michael Jackson passed away. R.I.P Robin.
Goodbye, Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire.

At this point I doubt the Williams family will be featured in the next Zelda commercials and promos.

What I'd imagine would happen is Nintendo dedicating a Zelda game to the man in some fashion, like opening remarks, in the credits, or even an NPC with facial similarities. Would be some grand remembrance if they made the King of Hyrule in Zelda U (if he is in it) with his likeness, considering he named his daughter after Zelda and would then, in-game, have another daughter named Zelda.

They're not going to do that. He was just some "actor" hired for a few scenes. He wasn't some figure head for Nintendo or Nintendo America. Williams got his paycheck and thats likely we'll see or hear about it from Nintendo. At the very most Nintendo would ever do is tell their twitter guy to tweet a positive tweet and move on.

Sad but true. contrary to Rommey. Corporations are not people.

UPDATE: some sources are saying he killed himself because he was diagnosed with liver cancer because he drank himself out of a liver. He apparently most likely didn't want his kids to see him shrivel up, suffer and die. (and maybe so that he, himself wouldn't suffer and die slowly). But there was no note, so we will never know. Also they said he tried cutting himself before he hung himself with a belt.

Such a sad tortured soul. With great comedy. comes great tragedy.

Where did you hear about his liver cancer? I can't seem to find news about the reason at all...

at a source that was unfortunately incorrect. He did try cutting himself however before hanging himself though. But he did not have liver cancer. that information was not correct
