Hacking Ripping Blu-Ray Movies? - PS3 Kmeaw CFW 3.55 and BU Managers

I have Launch 60 Gig PS3 w/CFW 3.55 CFW (kmeaw) and 3 different Backup Managers (newest Gaia, Multiman, Rogera 7.9a).

I've had limted succes w/copying games. And 0 copying blu-ray movies w/any of the backup managers.

I can't find a tutorial or even a clear explanation on how to copy blu ray movies to the ext HDD or if its even possible.

Can I "rip" blu ray movies to an external hdd via the BU managers? or do I DL the HI def movies, than convert the files, than put them on the ext HDD?

Any help would be awesome...

The question is about a PS3-based BluRay ripper, not a PC based ripper.

I heard of a homebrew app for it a while ago in early dev stages. If there is a completed app to do this, I'd finally have a good enough reason to hack my PS3.
