You need any PS3 with firmware 4.82 ... a usb stick under 32 gigs in size or 32 gigs in size ... and a real ps3 controller (if you replace your harddrive, you need a real ps3 controller) ............. finally, your PS3 needs to be "activated" for the account you link to it (should be fine in most cases when purchasing a used ps3) (all ps3 models!) (operating system used, windows 7 64 bit) (don't create a double user account, or anything like that, when you start your ps3 just create a user and leave it at that, no need to complicate things, you are not going to try to play online, right? then, no risk of bans!)
PART 1 - Update Firmware (file needed "PS3UPDAT.PUP for 4.82 firmware)
1. format your usb stick to "fat 32", create these folder and add the update file: "/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP"
(keep the update file, you use the same folder structure when you place a new HDD in your ps3, it will ask for that 4.82 update file)

from "ps3proxyserver/PS3.ProxyServer.GUI.exe" (in my case 192.168.0.5). enter that value also for your pc network card (go to network settings and enter in the address manually)

(if you can't install "net framework 1.1 and ps3proxyserver 2.1.0", reinstall windows operating system, windows 7, 64 bit, and disable the security services, type, "services.msc" in the run box, and disable the conflicting windows service) (spyware or a virus will stop the install or proper function or special edits from a anti-virus software)
PART 3 - Installing the HAN (hack) (files needed "han_supportfiles.zip")
Start "PS3ProxyServerGUI", same as before, ps3 network auto settings, with proxy for ps3 setting and pc computer sharing the same "ip address" (set address manually), that, "ps3proxyserverGUI" shows)
2. Go to your computer and ensure that your USB drive is formatted as FAT32 with 32kb allocation size, and check that the USB drive is recognized by your PS3 and shows up on the XMB under the Photos, Music, or Videos columns. Extract the files from han_supportfiles.zip onto the root of your USB drive. Also, copy the HAN Toolbox PKG onto the root of your USB drive.
3. Plug the USB drive in the right-most USB port of the PS3.
4. open the Internet browser and navigate to "http://www.ps3xploit.com". You will be presented with a white menu at the top of the screen. On that menu, hover over "v3 HAN Tools" to expand a sub-menu from which you will press Cross to select "HAN installer".
5. PS3Xploit will notify you that you are capable of installing HAN, press Cross to dismiss the message and you will be presented with a yellow page that says "PS3 HAN installer".
6. Press Triangle on your controller, navigate over to Tools, then select "Home page" > "Use Current" and press Cross to accept. (set to HOMEPAGE, "http://www.ps3xploit.com/han/han_installer.html")
7. Exit out of the browser and open it again. You will be presented by the same yellow page.
8. Select "Initialize HAN installer", wait for it to initialize, then select "Launch HAN installation" when the option becomes available.
9. If your PS3 restarted, you've successfully installed HAN. If for some reason your PS3 didn't restart or you got an error, you need to start over.
10. Open the browser and navigate to ps3xploit.com again. On the white menu at the top of the screen, hover over "v3 HAN Tools" and select "HAN Enabler". You will be presented with a yellow page, labelled "PS3 HAN Enabler".
11. Press Triangle on your controller, navigate to Tools, then select "Home page" > "Use Current" and click OK. (set to HOMEPAGE, "http://www.ps3xploit.com/han/han_enabler.html")
12. Close the browser and open it again.
13. Select "Initialize HAN Enabler", wait for it to initialize, then select "Enable HAN" once that option becomes available.
14. The browser will ask you if you want to close it, choose "Yes" and you will be returned to the XMB.
15. Navigate to the Games column on the XMB, select Package Manager, then select Install Package Files > Standard. The HAN Toolbox PKG should be there. Press Cross on it to install the HAN Toolbox.
16. "ACT/IDPS Dumper" (files needed for backups)
Goto "http://www.ps3xploit.com" ... at white menu box top left, hover over "v3 Han Tools", and select "ACT/IDPS Dumper" ... add this to homepage, restart browser, and then run, "initialize ACT/IDPS Dumper", and then run "Dump ACT.DAT & IDPS"
(you don't need to sign into PSN again, or try to use sony services from the console, there's no risk of bans, don't try to play online, if you buy a new harddrive, just repeat this process, unlike a ps4, you do get the option to "activate the console" after reformat, use your same account information if you want, make sure you activate the console for "game")
PART 4 - Installing -PSN-PKG- to PS3 (nopaystation) (files needed, ps3xploit-resigner-2.1.0, and your "act.dat and idps.hex" files you dumped to your usb stick previously)
Files Needed:
1. "act.dat" (dumped from Han hack) ("sign up", console activation information)
2. "idps_hex" (dumped from Han hack) ("sign up", console activation information)
3. .pkg file from psn (nopaystation)
4. rap file from psn (nopaystation)
Add files to "c:/PS3xploit-resigner-2.1.0/input" (program folder added to root of drive C)
5. Double click "resign_windows" in " PS3xploit-resigner-2.1.0" folder
Package Linker (PC to PS3 game files)
1. "PKG_Linker_V2.0_Installer" (extract to root of drive C, c:/pkg_linker_v2.0_installer)
2. Add previously signed .pkg files to the program folder of "package linker"
network settings
set the pc to 192.168.0.2
set the ps3 to 192.168.0.3
both subnet masks to 255.255.255.0
both dns to 8.8.8.8 (secondary to 0.0.0.0 for both also) (from pc for "0.0.0.0", click the "advanced button", after setting the ip address in "properties for ipv4", delete the value you set, like "1.1.1.1", then it will be "0.0.0.0")
inside "package linker", click "settings", set the pc ip and ps3 ip, and double click "port", it will auto assign a value
(set the other options on the ps3 to "auto", and "don't use a proxy")
Enable Server and click "rescan" from "package linker" program
"package_list.pkg" will be saved to program folder of "ps3ProxyServer", transfer to your usb stick, then plug into the PS3, and it will install, if it does not, restart your ps3, and select "han offline enabler" after restart, after install ....... (this lists the files on the server on your pc so you can download and install them) ............ power cycle the ps3, turn it off and then turn it on, then run "han offline enabler" again.
3. Select, from the ps3, "han toolbox/external content/install packages from webserver/ ............. install the game package.
PART 5 - Installing BLURAY disk backups (google is your friend) (files needed, "cfw2ofw helper" ... "make-backup-pkg" ... pkg linker 2.0 (same as before) ... (thats all, some games require ps3gameconvert, but just try to use "cfw2ofw helper", make sure you get this working first)
1. extract program files and, ps3 game data folders, "[PS3_GAME], [PS3_UPDATE], and [PS3_DISC.SFB]", into same folder and run the program.
2. "game folder, with 2 folders inside was created" .......... now add the contents of "make-backup-pkg" into the game folder that "cfw2ofw helper" created. and double click "do.bat"
(add the 3 created package files to "package link"(where those program files are extracted), run "offline han", and install the "package_list.pkg" file which lists the 3 new files in the "pkg_linker_v2.0_installer" folder-"click the "rescan" button in the "package link" program to update the "package_list.pkg" file)
restart ps3 (enable "Debug Package Enabler" ... don't enable "offline han")
Enable the [Debug Package Enabler] - you can do this through your browser, or through the [HAN Toolbox] if you installed it. Again, do not enable HAN for this if you do, it breaks the install. (go to, "external content/install package from webserver/install (the last option, then you'll games will appear from the "package_list.pkg" file).

also...................there's no need to use "CFW", if you use that, some ps3 console will get the LIGHT OF DEATH AND FREEZE, because the ps3 forgets how to cool itself ................. also, they don't make the tools anymore to flash your ps3, and you can't do that with the super slim ................ this works on all ps3 as long as you have 4.82 firmware, including the "super slim, any model", that is what I use the super slim (special ripping methods or fixes will not work on HAN, what you see here is what you get ............ a good deal of games ................... not going to cover ps2 games or ps1 games, suggest buying a "retropie or ps vita", once again sorry about that! (keep these guides open when you use them, it takes a while to reinstall a game, so do it right!7i66d)
