Okay, first, this looks quite spectacular, and I'd like to try it out, but I have a question or two.

I'm currently running both gamma and soft chip. The gamma is a vanilla install and has been there since it was released. The soft chip install I did following this guide which installs cIOS37 with IOS37 rev7 dip as IOS 232 in order for the USB Rock Band instruments to work. So my Wii is fat, dumb, and happy when it comes to playing the burned disks that I have.

My question is this, would I still have this functionality, along with the ability to load burned disks through the Disk Channel? Or, would I still need the separate install of soft chip around in order to play Rock Band?

Gamma and Softchip can still function normally. However since cIOS37 is a dip'd ios37 you can run rock band backup right from disc channel and instruments will work. That is if the Rock Band disc hasn't been IOS patched to a non dip'd or older version of the IOS that doesn't have usb instrument support. Rock Band uses IOS37 by default and since the cIOS37 has the Dip7 module it will work like an original.

anytitle deleter lets you delete things without wads, but does not let you install anything. keep wadmanager for installing and ATD for removing left over traces from old things installed.

i like atd in that place, its more a damage-control app, wad manager is a fringe benefit.

Okay, no one really told me if I had to uninstall preloader first, so I just went ahead and installed the new one over it, and I think it corrupt my system menu. Cause After I used ARC is worked but after preloader it didnt, I though CIOSCORP would cure it but it didnt. Im about to delete all the files from my old preloader off of my SD card, reinstall a Sysmenu with ARC and then see what happens.

Correction sorry ISO is 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes) I maybe did not state I have a pal wii and some usa disc work (they maybe region patched) and some do not work and am fairly sure they are not decrypted maybe I just missed some thing installing this

its actually been said a couple of times:

-you dont need to remove preloader itself, because it has already been removed by ARC at that stage
-you DO need to remove the hacks, which can be done with crediar's official tool for doing so.

if you don't install the cios pack after anyregion changer has patched your system menu then you will only have games that run off of ios30 loading from channel. Don't ask me why but thats how it is. I had cioscorp installed and working for NTSC (my region) and only IOS30 games would load (pal and ntsc) after doing this until i re-installed cioscorp

hey guys noob question sorry if i missed it in the thread i read every page and didn't see it do i just extract the rar to my sd card? cause i extracted it to my desktop and pretty much the only things i knew what to do with were the wad and apps folders.Many thanks in advance

you can obviously put something else there if you have a fave app...in fact, you can load apps (As long as they are in the SD root) directly from that selection menu, like a preloader HBC without a real gui.

Cool. I'll keep it as is for now.
Banner bricks can be undone by using ATD just like wadmanager, but no need for the original wad to be present in the wad folder.
Booting into HBC from preloader is always possible in case of corrupted sysmenu right ?

(Sorry for the bit off-topic questions regarding preloader)

Interesting i just ran my pal backup of SSBB which previously was loading in black and white, and now its running in color straight from disc channel... My black and white issues seem to be gone... And i don't think i installed my theoretical fix for color issues, although i was a little messed up last night so who knows.

Went for installing this and had a couple of issues.

1. After installing preloader my wii-motes didn't want to sync to my machine...a power cycle sorted that.

2. Tried changing my game region using ARC from PAL --> NTSC (as I'm sure someone stated earlier for better compatibily), but got the dreaded "System files are corrupt" message, but again managed to sort that by running the HBC from Pre-loader and setting it back.

All in all a good set of instructions and a good outcome.

Nice work, all this after I removed CORP minus dipped cIOS9 (I'm still looking for the virgin if someone has it), put original sysmenu289 back and reinstalled preloader. Congrats to all involved.....I do have one question though are the higher CORP files included in riiskimod still the same patched IOS with dip7? That is what made me remove CORP in the first place I felt like I was filling the Wii with dummy files lol

btw I've tried an import game, the only one I have, tatsunoko vs capcom, doesn't work.

all the cios file in cioscorp have the dip7 patched into them, thats what makes it work and increases the compatability. They are not dummy files. They are all legit ios's just with the patch added (not sure about the lower ios's though)
Robiul my copy works from disc channel. The disc channel is alot more picky about errors in burns and disc scratches/blemishes.

You were correct the lower ones not the higher ones. (sorry to quote you Jizmo) I know they're not dummies per se but, to have them all the same thing tells me there are different instructions inside them and it may or may not be required down the road....so it will be missing because it is a dupe of another IOS as far as the title using it is concerned. I highly doubt this will happen but it seems logical to me.

Back to my main question, which you did answer, thanks.....these are still the original batch of CORP files.
