Quick question.
What benefits do I get with installing the atd512.dol on preloader ?
And is it neccesary to install to get the complete mod working ?

In other words, what does it do exactly ?

Searching for the preloader move channel code. but no luck finding it again so far... checking my laptop to see if i have a copy of it still on there

Hmm, guess I was lucky with the MPAL thing, haven't had any problems yet. Changed it to NTSC just in case, no change so far so it seems a good alternative. Sorry to anyone who had problems with MPAL because of me.

I guess it's not supported by some TV's.

On another note, anyone have the same issue as Fishears with Wii Music? I was just about to test it but apparently my version was decrypted as it doesn't even show up.

Wait am I supposed to pick NTSC? or does it depend on what region you are originally? Cause Im 3.2u and have a NTSC tv.

I am just learning. It was a JNTSC, so I thought it needed to be UNTSC. I did this two days ago, for the gamma loader, and am still using the same disc...

Plus, when I JUST had the boot channel and hbc stuff installed, the TvC image would only appear in the disc channel if it was patched for usa (even though I couldn't boot from there, it still looked cool)

For me this makes absolutely no difference to out of region games. The ones that did not work before still do not work but thanks for your efforts.

If they dont work then you either did something wrong or are using decrypted disks/patched disks. NTSC-U and PAL are working only NTSC-J should have any issues

I'm not sure but I don't think it has anything to do with the hack itself. The dol is anytitledeleter, so I think it's there for brick protection.

It's just for PAL people with black screen issues.

They work fine in Gamma Channel... You can not be sure they are patched discs

Okay, first, this looks quite spectacular, and I'd like to try it out, but I have a question or two.

I'm currently running both gamma and soft chip. The gamma is a vanilla install and has been there since it was released. The soft chip install I did following this guide which installs cIOS37 with IOS37 rev7 dip as IOS 232 in order for the USB Rock Band instruments to work. So my Wii is fat, dumb, and happy when it comes to playing the burned disks that I have.

My question is this, would I still have this functionality, along with the ability to load burned disks through the Disk Channel? Or, would I still need the separate install of soft chip around in order to play Rock Band?

decrypted disks work in gamma. not in disc channel. Every undecrypted Pal game i have works from my disc channel now, and im on NTSC. I have over 15 pal games working so i know this works. You can check if a disc is decrypted or not. its very simple. before you do this if it loaded through disc channel with rebooter it isnt decrypted, if it didnt load with rebooter then it is decrypted. Also the disc channel is far more picky about scratched discs/errors then gamma is.

Ok, I did the install, including the atd512.dol. I figured it couldn't do any harm and if it's not really needed for the hack, I could remove or replace it with another usefull dol.

Write me up as another succes ! All went very smooth. Although it was kinda creepy seeing the turning bar in ARC while downloading and installing the hacks. Took way too long to relax....

Still wanna know what the atd512.dol does exactly.
Anyone care to elaborate ?

You can be sure if use ImgBurn to re-dump them back to your PC and check the size..!!
I am sure, I have already done that. 4.37 GB (4,699,980,107 bytes) Well maybe compatibility isn't 100% and I am just unlucky with the ones I tried... but if they work in Gamma...they should work with this ...surely?

ATD512 is the verion of anytitle deleter (that lets you delete ANYTHING on your wii) that is patched to handle (either) up to or over 512 titles. the original had a much lower limit

Ether decrypted games are the same size as undecrypted. the only difference i've seen size wise is when they are compressed

If they work with Gamma Rebooter they should work with this. Gamma not rebooting is capable of running decrypted discs

Gamma and Softchip can still function normally. However since cIOS37 is a dip'd ios37 you can run rock band backup right from disc channel and instruments will work. That is if the Rock Band disc hasn't been IOS patched to a non dip'd or older version of the IOS that doesn't have usb instrument support. Rock Band uses IOS37 by default and since the cIOS37 has the Dip7 module it will work like an original.

it seems to be the slightly modified AnytitleDeleter orginally requested by djdynamite.

it is used when you have foolishly let (likely pirated) tickets pile up on your system....it breaks some homebrew, including the official ATD.

its simple, regular ATD will work if you have less than 256 installed titles (that means total discs ran + total installed titles whose tickets werent deleted < 256)

after that some stuff, including ATD, breaks, and so you cant use regular ATD to fix the problem once you have it

so including this with a max count of

Oops your right noob... i looked at the size of two undecrypted games a min ago, lol
Non decrypted games should be 4,699,979,776

I have a non encrypted copy of Soul caliber that doesnt load in the disc channel due to scratches/errors in the burn. disc channel attempt to read it for about 2 mins solid then fails. RE-burnt it and it worked first try

Ok thanks for clearing that up. This brings some more questions:

Should I keep it installed, or do you suggest another app (like WadManager for instance) ?
Can the installed dol be overwritten with another ?
Once the dol is installed it can be removed from the sd right ?

Thanks.

you can obviously put something else there if you have a fave app...in fact, you can load apps (As long as they are in the SD root) directly from that selection menu, like a preloader HBC without a real gui.
