ok after reading completly this thread and all your up's and down's I went for it, but didn't do the CIOScorp part hence I already done that last week, so first didn't recognize anything, and got like......huh..? wtf..? so I just reinstalled cIOS30 and that was it, I saw the AnyRC when it install something about the Korean Disc in place 1-30, and this doesn't ringed any bell since there is nothing on 1-30, but then I used menuloader and boot in IOS249 and that was it, so I just reinstall cIOS30 and all is OK now.....so I'm going to start checking my games to see wich ones aren't supported.

Intructions for people already with CIOScorp pack installed:

1.Run the ARC in this pack
2.Only install the Starfall's kind hacks (not the korean disc support)
3.Re-install cIOS30 from CIOScorp Pack
4.Re-Install PreLoader and enable the hacks you want

or wait for my 2nd signature to just install the sysmenu.wad...!!!

1. This allows backups (using cIOS249) through the Disc Channel
Yes this allows backups reading thru the Disc Channel, but using the IOS requiered by each game, ok?

2. This still allows retail games to be started through the Disc Channel
Of course, just like any ModChip would do

3. This can brick things, but if you do it right, it's working well for people
Actually as I saw how it runs (unless there is a blackout during the installation process), and i can't think how could brick your Wii, but you'll never know

4. I have SM 3.3 (I haven't updated to 3.4) and this should work
Nope, you need to downgrade to 3.2, but hence the instructions tell you how to downgrade, then go ahead and start from 3.3

5. There is a way to uninstall it if I'm so inclined?
Run the update from the "Wii Settings", I believe...!!!

Sorry for asking for a spoon but can someone point me in the right direction to install. I already have Big Moe's v3 package installed and not quite sure where to start with this.

I haven't read Big Moe's v3 package installation, so I don't know where you are standing, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4..??

MPAL could be PAL-M another format of pal i doubt its progressive but since PAL-M is used by Brazil thats a 60hz area this could explain why some NTSC games boot i believe the enhanced region free just allows more regions ie Korea, Brazil etc and not higher compatibility as this is only possible by auto switching video and language.
as far as im aware the wii will not display progressive without EDTV cable's im unsure if it can over scart.

I did TPH, CIOS downgrader, cIOS downgrader, Starfall, IOS51 installer, then WII shop installer, then WII gator .3 Gamma, then Softchip rev59, cIOS 248 for softchip and cIOS 249 for Gamma. Menu is at 3.2U. Thx.

Mmmmm.... I was trying to pack a SysMenu_hacked_v289.wad, but I remember that preloader move the main.dol of SysMenu to 10000043.app so the 00000043.app can be loaded first (this is the PreLoader), so I will need in order to pack the SysMenu with hacks, someone after the AnyRC process and before the PreLoader installation to give me the files that I need, cause I don't want to do it all over again...!!!

I had CIOScorp already installed.. followed your instuctions but made no difference to the out of region games..(I have a PAL wii) The USA games that did not work still don't work. Any ideas? May have missed something

Well for me, the first time I ran the AnyRC didn't work when downloading the SysMenu and patching it, so I had to ran it again, you should run AnyRC and install cIOS30, then check if works...!!

i tried this and succefully installed everything, but when i put a legally owned backup in the Wii the disc channel says "Unable To Read Disc" please help !!!!!

thanks

Yes, I already did that. I am not saying it doesn't work...just out of region games no different to before.

OPTIONAL, fix your MIOS to an older better version.....Did you also do this? Or does this not make any difference to out of region games? Anyone know, please?

Did you rip/dump the backup yourself? I think most of the images available via bodies of water filled with pirates and places like that have been "scrubbed" or decrypted or patched in some way that stop it from working with RiskWii, even though they would normally boot with the gamma loader. A buddy of mine downloaded a few of the images, burned them properly and verified them, and is getting the same message as you, I'm almost positive they were decrypted.

As far as my personal experience goes. A dump of TVC that I made myself, then patched to USA and Brickbreaker, works great with RiskWii, shows and boots from the Disc Channel.

I actually did that, but I don't know or think that could be the difference, did you have to press a button the return to the menu of AnyRC and then press A over "reboot"..??
