Fishears - Use ARC and change video console setting to ntsc, not pal or mpal.

DO NOT USE MPAL!

I have tested it and it works fine on my PAL wii set to NTSC video .

Only do this is you know what you are doing tho.

Cheers Skarface05 it worked a treat on my pal wii.

It will load pal games also with the video set to ntsc!

yes you will. but there won't be any 576i output.

But how does that work? if ARC makes the console video mode NTSC on a PAL system menu.....
And i'd still see all my games in 480p?!
I'll give it a go anyway, I just like to know WHY i'm doing stuff

Cheers for this, just tested neighborhood games on my PAL Wii and it works a treat, great tut by the way I've not done much with my Wii for a long time, still had the original hbc and twilight hack on it,the guide was a great help.

Thanks Clarky.

any region changer installs only the ios for system menu 3.2 and system menu 3.2 itself, it doesn't touch the other CIOS's. so you would still need to install the original ios's...

Really? I installed Riiskii twice because I thought I did something wrong, and after running ARC again(and before installing cioscorp for the second time) the disc channel wouldn't load the inserted game. Doesn't cioscorp handle that stuff?

Also Fishears, Wii Music NTSC works fine on my Pal Wii with the videomode set to NTSC. And yes, it's 480p.

Hi i have a small question..
When i of 3.2E cann i skip the point 12.?? While is this for Downgrade or is it for patching the sys regionfree??

Re-ran ARC, selected 3.2E but with video mode set to NTSC, installed preloader, CiosCorp.... stuck in my Wii Music NTSC.. got the banner.... pressed start.... BLACK SCREEN

F*CKMii

I'm using component cable and tv type set to EDTV 480p in settings. All my PAL stuff works a treat just not my ONE NTSC title.
Any ideas?

Thanks a lot for this pack, working flawlessly.

I only have one question : i tried (just to see) the recovery mode and it doesnt work. (GC pad plugged in, holding Y when launching Wii from orange/red led).

I had starfall installed before and didnt uninstall it, could it be this ?

Thanks again.

(Edit : just to make things up i tried tatsunoko vs capcom with NTSC mode and it worked, also Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the new world both on PAL Wii)

Yeah Dragon Quest swords gave me the black screen too. And it gave me the green screen in Gamma. And black & white with the messed up screen upon a normal gamma boot.

to the recovery mode question. According to the ARC our system menus boot up basically with recovery mode features. for the holding Y thing you have to be plugged into the first gamecube port. However simply booting the wii with a autoboot disc in the drive should cause it to boot, without holding down anything.

I already have my US Wii with the homebrew channel and a gamma backup channel. Is there a way using parts of this tutorial to allow my backups to work in the disc channel instead of a separate backup launcher channel?

Thanks,
Kizer

So, let me get this straight.....with Riskimod installed(including all apps), i can play NTSC-J games on a NTSC-U without patching the ISO or anything?, perhaps you are gonna think i am a weirdo, but i do like the BGM of the main menu of the Wii, is there a way i can leave it on and have no problems with the Riskimod Installation? Thanks in advance

please read the thread before asking questions, thats been answered 5 or 6 times. if you want the BGM just leave the no BGM hack disabled.
