Hi all,

So it's been about 2 or 3 years since I last used my switch and I want to update. I currently have atmosphere installed, but I can't seem to remember how to boot, either that or somehow my installation is corrupted. I remember using my sx os dongle to boot rcm, then hekate, and then atmosphere. But it's not working how I remember at this point, and I'm just getting errors.

I used to have emu set up, but at this point my console is banned and I want to just do custom firmware on the sysnand. Unless there's a compelling reason not to?

Anyhow, have there been any big strides in the update process? Any 1 click installer type deals? Or should I just go follow the instructions in the atmosphere sticky?

If you're using the sysnand, just put the Hekate and Atmosphere folders on your SD card and you're ready to go.
Most all-in-one installers have disappeared thanks to Nintendo ninja-lawyers.

If the pirate life is something for you, don't forget the syspatches.
Note that Hekate and Atmosphere both have their own sigpathes.

You can use almost anything (except an iPhone) to replace your sxos dongle.

If you turn on AutoRCM with Hekate, then you won't need the jig anymore to boot.

Thanks for the info. Can I just use the latest atmosphere? I thought I read something about firmware version vs atmosphere version compatibility issues.

Also, how should I go about backing up my nand before I get started? Hekate?

There's a folder called emuMMC on my switch SD card, that's my NAND backup right?

No, that's your emuMMC. Your nand backup should be in the folder named BACKUP

I frequently get an empty battery warning icon pop up full screen then switch goes black and goes to sleep mode. If I Press power on again it is only shows half empty and still has lots of power. This doesn't cause serious issues because I can just exit sleep mode and resume play. But curious the cause and if there is a fix. I assume the battery icon is not showing accurate information about power or the warning and sleep mode is just some glitch.
