YSmenu has not updated on a while. There are games that just not work well or at all on it.

Have you tried with TTmenu?

How about WFWD?

Have you tried to uncompress the rom?

How about that converter that changes roms so they run in particular flashcards?

I never tried ttmenu ;-;
Whats is WFWD?
I use no zipped file, just a .nds rom in the end of the file
Never heard about that converter ;-;

-edit:
I tried ttmenu inside retrogamefan folder and didn't work either...

WFWD is a rom loader:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/ds-i-3d...mes-and-ds-i-menu-replacement.472200/page-192

And by compressed I meant the rom itself in compressed, not a zip, rar or whatever. R4 for example can only run uncompressed nds files that means the size of the file is bigger that if it was an compressed nds file.

Compressed you mean... "trimmed"???
I run no trimmed roms...
i.e.: if the file size is 128mb and I trim it on dsbuff it gets 97,5mb...
But I don't do this... I just use regular rom (128mb size)

Also, thanks for the link, I'm gonna check it out later...

The "Note for R4" txt in Wood firmware says compressed but whatever.

I also noticed that some games do not save in the original r4i-sdhc original kernel 4.0... Like Digimon Lost Evolution, Pokémon Black 2 and many other...
Nowdays YSMenu is much better than sdhc original kernel in my oppinion, cuz I can play almost every game inside my gamelist, excluding Lufia (it crashes), Digimon Lost Evolution (my translated version, does not load) and Yu-Gi-Oh! WC 2011 Over the Nexus (it's crashing too).
I replaced Lufia for Lost in Blue, I think it's a nice survival game. Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow (USA) seems to not load on sdhc kernerl and ysmenu, but the (EUROPE) version of this game runs very well...

Hello everyone. I just got my R4 SDHC and Im trying to set it up, but the link to the kernel that is compatible has been hijacked by ads or something. Is there a mirror to the actual kernel?

click on download now. that link is in the 1st post of this thread :)

I should have specified I'm using the Revolution. A guy on Reddit recommended me TWiLight Menu ++ with YSMenu. I installed everything correctly, but the github download only has the kernel for the original SDHC card, not the revolution, it says to go to page 1 of this thread. When I go to the link for the SDHC spoiler, it still leads to a page telling me to download a search bar extension, or a "No Sponsors" page.

So I don't really understand what I'm supposed to do from here.

Hello all. Is there anyway to get access to the game patches/translations? The link in the first post seems to be missing:

"
4. 738 MODS/Translation Patched Games. Patches can be found here :

Changelog :

Thanks!

Is it possible for RGF to update this fork at this point. It would be nice to see a fix for Sonic Color cutscenes, it is doable as from the r4i dual core kernel with the timebomb.

Does YSmenu work well with ROM hacks? The ROM hack I'm playing loads errcode=-4 on a DSTTi (ndstti.cn), and it won't AP patch (obviously, but I do have a cheat to bypass this) on an R4 Ultra, which wasn't even updated past 7.04.

It seems that, with a DSTTi clone, it just straight up refuses to boot a ROM hack, however it will load the base ROM perfectly fine! The hack in question did have some ARM9 issues, but seeing as it works on a flashcart with an outdated YSmenu, it surprises me that it just throws an error on the latest YSmenu on a DSTTi clone, which is what YSmenu was built for in the first place.

OK so im trying to install on my r4i-sdhc and i know where it says to install from DSONEi folder its a typo and i should copy from r4i-sdhc folder. So i do that and copying ttmenu.dat, r4.dat, and ttmenu folder from the r4i-sdhc folder onto my sd card is said to work for others but for me i get a white screen with an error message "? ERROR". Here's my folder structure if i got something wrong

Try only putting TTMenu, R4.dat, and TTMenu.dat in a formatted SD? Then add your games?

I'm having the same problem with this game.

Hello friends.. soo i have a R4iTT New 3DS Purple Without screw
and i would like to know which one it would be to install.. I am afraid that it will fail and block it

I noticed that TWiLightMenu++ updated the ap fix for Digimon - Lost Evolution, I think it's the translation I used to do, but I'm having problems with it... The game crashes after inputing my character name... when I run this translated game just with ysmenu, it shows me an error message but the non-translated game loads and runs ok. I think it's the game id that has changed when a rom hack is done. it modifies the game id... my question is, is there a way to modify my hacked game to the original rom id? (it starts with BLEJ, i think). My other question is... Can I use some of TWiLightMenu++ files to make ysmenu recognize and run the translated game? I noticed that there are many .ips files inside TWiLightMenu folder, and I tried to patch the rom with those files but the problems is the GAME ID, that does not recognize on ysmenu. I also tried to run directly from the original R4 system (R4i sdhc) and it runs fine, but it does not create a save file, so the only way to save the game is using RTS... Is there a way to save it on R4i SDHC? thanks :)

I patched the hacked rom with the .ips files and tested the patched game on r4i sdhc system and it worked! now I ca save the game!!! maybe in the future the creator of ysmenu can bring it to his system.
