Unfortunately, Ploggy’s version doesn’t work for me on Aroma - Retroarch doesn’t even show up on the home menu.
I checked YouTube tutorials, but just confirmed that it really should be as simple as pasting those two folders to SD root.
Based on the video’s comments it seems that I am not the only one having this problem - however there were no solutions posted.

Any idea on that here? Help would be greatly appreciated!

Pretty sure that was a register post...usually solved with no explanation means they followed the instructions and it works. But yeah, starving for help/answers then ghost out after revelation is normal human behavior.

Yes my friend. Working fine, US version, just slow because the game loads pre-rendered backgrounds.

Edit: Issue also happens on Windows (Retroarch + Pcsx Rearmed) so I should simply disable the "Turbo CD" feature. Thank you!

P.S: That feature (Turbo CD) is really an excellent feature to re-discover PS1 library. Game load at least x2 faster, although it breaks some rare games.
Bear in mind that Turbo CD breaks some games even on original hardware. It's a PS2 feature - and some emulators allow for instant CD access.

it was commented somewhere that the branch @ https://github.com/ashquarky/RetroArch/tree/wiiu-wut-merge by ashquarky is more recent than ploggy's. Sent half the night trying to chase down compiler errors but it fails every time at something related to a runloop. anyone got luck making it work?
That IS the branch my builds are built from. there is a compile guide linked in my sig, I've updated it with the latest build setup.
If you follow the guide you should be able to compile Cores and Retroarch without issue.

Any clues as to why I might be getting a black screen for psx games? Sound will load no problem, and other cores work fine (I used nes, snes, genesis, 3do all working fine). But every psx game I've tried won't load the visual input. I've tried Metal Gear Solid, Catlevania Chronicles, Soul Blade, and R4, same problem each time.

fixed, deleted the retroarch.cfg and now works fine. :) Runs R4 way better than WiiSXRX!

Hello everyone ^^,

What is the MAME core that allows you to play the game OutRun 2, which was released on Sega Chihiro arcade machines? (I want to test this game...).

Have a good day ^^.

The first thing you need to do is to is in Settings >> Video >> Scaling:
Integer scale: ON
For me turning this on messes the picture on Gamepad: scanlines are incorrect and overall the picture looks distorted. I tried crt-easymode with Shader#0 Scale 3x, yee64, yeetron.
Btw do you use Optimize for Wii U gamepad in Settings -> Output?
Looking for the best CRT shader for output on TV and GamePad.

That's all we (wiiu) got :D
Is it due performance reasons or something else? I mean lack of the “default” MAME core.

Performance reasons, apparently the main MAME is really heavy, too much for WiiU.
