I did it and that worked
I play mostly handheld
is 1581 Mhz safe for handheld?
As long as the console is not heating up too much, making noises (including the sound of the fans spinning too much), crashing and/or draining the battery very fast, you're mostly okay. However, there is always a risk, so I strongly suggest that you only overclock when playing a specific game that needs OC to run properly, at the lowest possible setting that allows it to run properly, and return to the default clock speed when doing anything else - including sleep/standby.

It gets around 40-45 degrees when I have the auto brightness turned off it's pretty warm

But with auto brightness turned on its at 39-41 degrees and it doesn't get hot

1) Don't use metacrt.
2) Don't use anything else that can also turn your Switch into a second, laggier Sun.
3) If you overclock, then shade responsibly.
4) Do whatever the heck you want, you're a free person.

has anyone played Breath of Fire 4 on HOS Retroarch using pcsxReARMed??
I can't pass the opening cutscene.
the music is playing but it's stock on a white screen and won't let me pass to the Main Menu to start the game.

Anyone using "run-ahead" with 1 frame? It seems fine in handheld for anything up to GBA so far. Most games like "Super Mario Advance" only have one frame of delay and run-ahead by 1 fixes this even though I don't really notice that one frame of delay if I am honest.

Just a quick question, does switch arcade core really not support netplay. I haven’t used retroarch in a long time on my switch and had to reinstall it because for whatever reason I had to wait like a minute or so for it to load up and the same with loading a game. To my surprise I noticed arcade core’s were added that I never had. So the core that should have netplay as far as I know is fb alpha 2012 cps-1. My friend is able to start up netplay on their ps vita but the switch can’t. Core says it doesn’t support netplay.

Edit
Was able to start netplay with final burn neo. Hopefully the cores that say they don’t support netplay for switch eventually support it.

It's been like 90% full speed for a few years now, but countperop makes it even better.. needs the glide build on the discord
