Hey again guys, so with my configuration, RetroArch 1.8.4 always crashes whenever I try to load an FDS rom, no matter which Emulator I chose. I haven't tried it before, so I can't say if the possible error is new. Can someone replicate this? Or is this only due to my Switch/config?

What's the performance like with 2x though? I think that should be plenty considering the Switch's limitations.
what limitations?
OS ( Horizon ) ? or HW ?
*because on a 1.2ghz raspberry 3b
3D rendering runs at 2X smoothly on the PCSX ReARMed core

... Anyway I hope that 3d acceleration will be optimized on Horizon

I've just updated from 1.76 to 1.84 and the N64 mupennext is stuttering and slow.
Config has been deleted etc

Is this what I should expect from this new version?

@Billy Acuña is it possible to get better performance was Mesen? I'm trying to play Metroid HD but it's really laggy.
Yeah, that is a know issue with hdpacks, Sour said he may add threading to get better perf with hdpacks, meanwhile try playing with the core settings and see if performance improves or use a lower res hdpack.

How Stable is the 1.8.4? I copied over a bunch of GFX files from the Wii version of retroarch and didnt have much luck. I deleted everything and started over with just the Switch version from the homebrew store but I get frequent crashes. Specifically trying to update cores it just crashes completely.

Just wondering if RA is normally pretty solid or I need to do a better cleanup of the previous install.

Hold R and launch a switch title to get to Retroarch w/extra ram. If you just go to album you will get crashes.

Does anyone have a joycon mapping config file for P-UAE AmigaCD32? I try and use the joycons but they only seem to work for the hotkey (seen in the option's config file as F11). All of the key binding options are keys on the keyboard so I'm not sure how to map them...

For people watching Beetle PSX HW dynarec, it seems like the current android release doesn't even support GL? At least I can't get it working on switchroot, needed to use Vulkan. And it is even slower then horizion forced to software. So 3D support could be a while.

I'm running it fine on software with full dynarec optimisation. Can't quite get it running at full speed 2x resolution, but at 1x I can get dithering and even a bit of internal overclocking.

I believe there's still some optimisation to go but I'm quite happy with it for the moment.

Is there anyone successfully running pc-88 games with multiple disks?
Soon after setting up subsystems and choose "start N-disk game",
the emulator closed and bring me back to retroarch menu without any message shown.
Any other way to run multiple disks games on pc-88 ?
Thanks

Is there a way to get higher rendering resolution and texture filtering on PSX games?
not in pcsx rearmed since it doesn't support it, but there's wip beetle psx core that you can get... it supports internal gpu texture scaling, but even for 2x res you will need almost max oc

Even with max OC and a bunch of things disabled, still couldn't get it to run full speed.

To clarify, when increasing resolution only the Software option works, right? Because for it to work under Hardware it needs Vulkan?

On Horizon the hardware option is basically disabled right now so no matter what you set, its using software.

My experience on android was that I needed the vulkan driver, but that's odd because I figured this core was old enough to support gl. But it could just be the crappy gl on switchroot.

9.1 with atmosphere retroarch 1.8.4

cant play sonic adventure 2, when the first stage starts all i see is blue triangles

Hey guys, Im unsuccessfully trying to use the rumble function with the psx core, did anybody knows if it works at all on the switch?
Im aware it works on some other cores (i.e. n64) and with retroarch on pc.
