There will be no port of Dolphin to RetroArch, only Lakka. Switch to FAT32 and use NUT (scroll all the way down and read the messages carefully) to USB Install games. Once a game is installed it'll work on FAT32 and exFAT, but please switch to FAT32.

Also, The DS Core runs bad because it's pretty bad right now, MelonDS is the fastest option available, you can get it from here

(The MelonDS core in RetroArch isn't the same thing)

Does anyone know if you can go directly to rom selection after closing content through Quick Menu? When I close a game I have to go right from the start to choose another game, is that right?

N/m, figured it out. Needed bios and .cue's.

Edit: Wow, it runs slow but Chrono Cross looks awesome now on 4x resolution. And by slow I mean not playable.

4x is too much for Switch at software rendering yeah, not even my Galaxy S10+ could manage that at all games (in some games it runs at 4x fullspeed, but some graphics/sprites being drawn very close to the screen could soon bottleneck it severely).

What's the performance like with 2x though? I think that should be plenty considering the Switch's limitations.

2x was still slow even with 'boost performance' overclock. Didn't try higher. The only performance increase I noticed when OC'ing was the PS splash screen didn't crackle anymore.

2x is fullspeed at max OC, at least for most of games.

Just tried 2x with max OC. Still slow.

For clarity, Beetle seems to work fine with PBPs. I guess ISOs were what you had before?

Also be sure to turn the CPU to max performance, its set to interpreter by default.

This doesn't seem any faster than rearmed at the moment even in 1x but its worth watching for when GL support is added.

Just for us non-tech guys: Why is the PS1 emulation on switch kept at "software mode", or at a low key mode? Just wondering because I could emulate PS1 on high resolutions on PCs like 15 years ago, and the DC Emulation with 3x resolution works quite well. It's just weird for ppl like me who aren't really into tech stuff that you can run PSP and DC with 3x resolution and PS1 even struggles on native res sometimes.

Beetle alone is quite demanding. See it like similar to bsnes.

It seems like none of the 3D acceleration interfaces for cores directly port to Horizion, m4wx always has to work some magic individually on each one, like he did for dreamcast, N64 and psp. Until that is done we have to live with software mode, but hopefully this is a first step towards that happening.

I see, so it has to be optimized, and it's kinda higher accuracy. Thanks guys!
