Trying to start GBA games using mGBA crashes* when starting the game from the playlist. Other consoles work. Starting the same games from the history list works fine. What should I do?

* "The software was closed because an error occurred" and I need to re-enter homebrew. Once I got a BSOD, but can't reproduce.
Can you post both files here in spoiler and code tags, your GBA playlist and the history?

how can i get 60 fps on Snes emulator?
is locked at 50fps
which core do you recommend?
what settings?
Is it a PAL rom by any chance? Those run natively in 50 fps.
Snes9x is the best currently available core on the Switch.
Not sure right now but there should be a core option in quick menu to force 60 fps if you really need it. :)

I'm at work, when I come home I try to find core option to force 60fps or something like that ;)
anyway....

snes9x? not snes9x2010, right?
yes Pal , for example ... Super Mario All-stars PAL ...
I see the difference with same roms on Psnes by cpastjuste , some frames are missing on retroarch for Nintendo switch.
the difference between 50 fps and 60 fps it's really clear to see.
maybe others emulator are enable to force 60fps automatically ???
maybe I'm doing something wrong ... but they are the default settings.

Yes, Snes9x is better than 2010.
2010 was kind of a fork (from 2010? :D) while Snes9x was maintained longer.
When inside a game, press + and - which should take you to the quick menu. There should be an entry called "options" which would be the core options. I guess you will find an fps option there.

Thanks, solved it thanks to you =).

In the playlist file, it tried to use the N64 emulator for GBA games. It did this both for games I had never played before (so they didn't have a core associated yet) and after I had done "reset core association".

However, that was in 1.7.6. I later updated to 1.7.7 and it still crashed, which is when I reported it. But now that I saw what was wrong in the playlist file, I tried "reset core association" again, and it seems to work fine in 1.7.7. It now correctly assigns the mGBA emulator to GBA games.

What is going on with this front end? Almost emulators freeze on start randomly say error occurred and flow me back to home screen of switch.
Not sure whats going on. I downloaded retroarch from the github. Just a bit lost why a ton of n64 games do it. Are they incompatible? Any help would be nice thanks. Ive tried with oc. And without oc by the way.

To be clear sometimes it runs the game. Other times it errors out.

Are you starting homebrew by holding R while starting a game?

Thx but now i think that i have some config problems then.

This patch, Will solve some problems with x,y If using 4:3 or 16:9, but i understand that someway RA register the touch , wrong of course but RA do something. (or i get this wrong?)

In my case, touch the screen does nothing, so i think that its need some config. In RA for droid It works from the beggining, so have no clue what i need to change.

If you have any clues, pls share.

And thank you alot for your time. ;)
