Apologies if this has already been covered - is there a bug on saving settings? For PS1 I always put 'threaded video' on and then try saving the override (any of the 3 options) but when I launch the game again the FMV is laggy and I have to change the setting again. Any way to fix this? Thanks! :gun:
RetroArch on Switch cannot save core override on its own. It just creates an empty file. You have to manually edit the core.cfg-file; e.g. copy&paste the corresponding entry from the retroarch.cfg into the core.cfg.

The override is then loaded as it is upposed to. However, when you then load a game from a different core, RetroArch will completely crash and you have to reboot the Switch. To avoid that, you have to manually close every game in RetroArch, before loading a new one.

Thanks Z-bake. Guess I'll just do the settings each time for now. Can an override for the game only be saved in this way also, without the crash problem?

Try saving current configuration after changing that setting and then restarting RetroArch.

Is Reicast coming soon? I loaded it up on my Note 8 phone with Tony Hawk 2 today, and despite some forgivable graphic glitches it ran at full speed and it looks amazing compared to the PSX and N64 versions. Is the Note 8 more powerful than the Switch?

Almost all modern smartphones have better performing hardware than the switch.

I installed the NSP and it doesn't see any ROMs when I go to "Scan Directory" and navigate to my "roms" folder in the root of my SD card, it just says "no items". Any ideas?

sometimes... if you copy the rom with a microsd usb adapter ( retroarch does not display them )
- use ftpd to transfer the roms ( retroarch will recognize them )
I do not know why but it works for me.

sorry for my english.

Thanks. I'll try it in a minute.

I will never understand why retroarch always has such random issues with creating some textfile somewhere...

can retroarch play background music like my mp3s?
ive put some mp3s on my sd card in the retroarch folder, but i dont see them in "music"

Weird, I'm able to make it run almost fullspeed (It's one of my favorite game, a personal goal to achieve when running emulators). Are there different version of the game?

What commands do you run to launch the game?

I managed to fix it from hard crashing by removing the exit command at the bottom of the start.bat file I use to execute LBA2. But the game still wont start.

It reads as follows:

# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
@Echo off
mount C .
imgmount d ".\LBA2.DAT" -t iso
c:
cls
lba2.EXE

It then prints an error message saying C:\LBA2.DOS file not found.. but if I then issue a dir command from the C drive in dosbox I see LBA2.DOS
