do you mean PPSSPP files or Retroarch file ? if you mean Retroarch file then the way i update is by drag & drop latest nightly to sd card overwriting the existing files. is this not the right way to update Retroarch ?

Don't overwrite old files it's, better to do a fresh start. Just backup your bios files, saves and thumbnails folders if you have any.

    Thx.
    For PPSSPP

    Aspect ratio = Core provided
    and
    Integer Scaling = Off

seems perfect. I set the resolution higher in the core options and Tekken 6 plays wonderful now!

However I can't for the life of me get the Aspect ratio for N64 (Mupen64Plus-Next) right. It either has borders around the correct 4:3 screen (even on top and bottom) or if I do this

    Aspect ratio = Custom
    Integer Scaling = On

it's hitting the top and the bottom of the screen but it's too wide (that means a bit of the top and bottom are cut off by the screen).

@All: How did you guys set up N64 to have original aspect ratio but full screen aka going from top screen to bottom screen (obviously with black bars on the sides since it's not a 16:9 console)?

Is it possible that the XMB Theme is broken in the latest Nightly? RetroArch keeps crashing on me(Software was closed cause an Error occoured), other Themes work fine tho..

Try something like 1440x900 for aspect ratio, I believe that makes N64 fullscreen with 4:3 without borders.

The crash with XMB has already been reported, and m4xw has pushed the fix, all that's left is to wait for the next nightly to get the fix.

Edit: Beaten to it by seconds, but yes a fix will be in the next nightly.

Just realized it's possible to play Star Fox 2 from the SNES classic (just have to find the rom) on SNES 9x.

Still doesn't work. :( Would you mind shooting your Mupen64Plus-Next core config file at me, mate? :)

    Well, of course.
The ROM got dumped, hell I think even leaked.
And as long as it's an SNES ROM, it should play in most well optimized SNES emulators.

Oh I thought that would have done it :/
I suggest playing around with the aspect ratio a bit.
I wouldn't mind sharing my config, but I don't have N64 in 4:3, I play 16:9 by default, so even if I share it, the config won't help you at all :(
    Sorry, my friend.

Don't you mind playing stretched (so Mario looks like Wario) or did you apply some widescreen patches/cheats? :D
    But thx anyway. :)

Since I already played around with that stuff for like an hour maybe someone else can help me to get N64 full screen in 4:3 ratio. :)
Inside RetroArch it's not possible to enter exact values, correct? I can only jump between some pre defined values with LEFT and RIGHT so I always have to quit it and use vgedit to edit the config file manually.

    Overscan.
We no longer do autocrop as it was working badly and it got removed from upstream.
Games are often coded with black borders, that setting fixes it. Requires fbemu
Also set aspect ratio to Core provided.

Setting the res to 16:9 on the Options of Mupen64 Plus Next makes it so that certain games display with widescreen patches.
SM64, OoT, MM, and some others play this way wonderfully without any extra stuff.
At least I didn't modify a thing and yet I have 16:9 with no stretch 3D models, and NO stretched textures/HUD neither.
