great! aliaspider! best 3ds developer!

Yellows8, Smealum & company has obviously done a lot to the 3DS scene. Like building the foundation. But I agree, aliaspider has opened up most for the end users (the gamers). So my favorite 3DS developer is aliaspider as well :D

just a quick thought and please do correct me if im doing something i shouldnt on this board but....if theyre ds emus out there for example drastic ds on the google play store..it should be relatively easy to port them to the 3ds correct? i mean i know i can be very mistaken just a thought.

so im playing final fantasy 7 on the ps1 emulator and it works decently well with an average of 40 fps. I was just wondering if i get to the end of the first disc will the save work onto the second disc or what?

You can save before ht prompts the disc swap, it should just be a manner of loading a new ISO... I think?

You are not the first or the last one that has asked about a DS emulator on the 3DS ^^ It has to be one of the most pointless projects. Good luck to convince a developer ;)

Well if someone is up for a challenge, it could be quite interesting ^_^ I mean, we have Playstation running. Just for the sake of experimentation, it would make a great experiment

(Not DeSmumeRA core though. That thing runs quite bad on my PC)

Yeah, as a proof of concept! But think about the 100s (or 1000s) of hours you have to put to get a fully working DS emulator on the 3DS. We are already able to play DS games on the 3DS..

So, for example a PS1 or N64 emulator is more value for the work :P

Yup, that's what i meant. It would be waaaaaaaay more interesting to develop an interpreter ala Nintendont (native running plus access to extra functions)

If N64 reached a good emulation state on 3DS i would buy a N3DS no matter what (i'm already tempted anyway) however it would be a pretty hard feat because a high number of factors. Can't see it happening, really.

DS mode is a virtual machine, it uses hardware to achieve 100% compatibility. Emulation uses software, why in blazes would people do that when sources should be allocated to more emulators that would actually be worth it?

you can now turn off the console by pressing the upper part of the touchscreen. the lower part controls the main menu toggle.
I also added support for ZL/ZR buttons and C-stick, I can't test those though so no idea if they actually work.

I'll test in a minute.

Edit: No, the CIA builds do not enable the new controls. ir:rst is still missing from the list of services in the RSF file. They probably work on the 3DSX files, though.
