This is my first time playing with Retroarch. Can I get some setup advice? At the moment I am mainly interested in trying the CPS2 support, I'll look into others later.

I'm on a n3DS on 9.9, using Ironhax.

I'm kind of struggling to get this working. I've got the CPS2 core on my SD card, and can boot it fine. I can browse to roms (presumably I just need the .zip file, rather than all the files inside it extracted). It just seems to crash when I pick a rom though, any rom. Did I miss a step?

Says: "Error: Cannot push Null or empty core into the playlist".

Feels like there is some setting I need to change or something.

any chances to see full-speed emulation for genesis and snes on o3ds in this month-two?

o3DS already has BlargSnes which runs many games fullspeed. CatSFC may run fullspeed at some point, it ran fine on the DSTwo. For genesis you can inject for now. I'm sure PicoDrive will hit fullspeed at some point. It's already running at 80%+ speed on o3DS from my testing. I actually played through Viewpoint (a shooter with slowdown even on a real genesis) on my o3DS yesterday. The main issue is the 3DS GPU doesn't have access to pallatized textures and converting sprites to non pallatized textures is an intensive process unfortunately. It makes the 3DS a poor machine for emulation.

But, however, about BlargSnes, lack of compatibility with many games also is a big issue!

Mostly this shows when you have a wrong or incomplete romset
Sometimes it shows up but continues to load and runs the rom fine

[EDIT]
Where's the 2019-09-20 nightly build gone?
Ah! Looks like I have the 19th build. Thought that was the most recent one, might that explain why Mars Matrix didn't work for me?

CATSFC seems to be getting faster and faster on the old 3DS with every new nightly build. Keep up the good work, Pleb! :grog:

Not sure why but when installed CPS1 and CPS1 don't show up on the home menu for me but neogeo does? They work fine as 3dsx however.

EDIT: Actually they seem to have the same Unique ID so they overwrite each other when installed.
