I'm happy with 1.4 version. Finally Dosbox works!! Even the mapper function works and I can play DOS games mapping a key to a button on 3DS. Sadly there's no touch screen keyboard AFAIK.

Others cores are working and appears stable, but the loading time is higher then previous version.

Quit a decent amount of problems can be taken care off by deleting the retroarch folder, emulators and then installing them again.
Always do a clean install it can prevent some problems, and try finding a stable that works for yourself 1.3.3 works rather good for me.

gpsp now works for me , it does work better than the last stable ..
its a pity though , the only thing i really wanted was a better pcsx rearmed build
Any 3D heavy core like PSX or N64 would most likely never work 100% on the 3DS, not even the N3DS.
it lacks the hardware for it, I say only Sega CD, 32x and Turbografx might be the most you can get, same for some CPS3 games.

So, just to be sure, latest gpsp 1.4 doesn't crash when switching games anymore?
I assume all of this was done by cleaning the /retroarch/ folder to avoid DSI or errors during boot.

you're probably right about pcsx , but still some games like twisted metal 2 for instance ran 60fps with no audio crackling or anything on 1.3.6

yes i deleted everything related to retroarch and replaced it with the new stable release

Neat!
So gpsp is working good now for you?
No crashes when switching ROMs or anything? No tearing?

Yay, they did upload an updated version of 1.4 for 3ds. Maybe should have been marked 1.4a or something to avoid confusion, but I'll take what I can get.

An earlier 1.4 wasn't working, thus the message. The current 1.4 is supposed to be much better, it's just that the OP hasn't been updated yet.

here are just a few things about snes emulation that i wanted to point out.
  • snes 2005 came back in the second 1.4.0. release and now supports chipset games. ive tried out several chipset games (super mario rpg, megaman x2, pilotwings, doom, super mario world 2: yoshi's island) and all of them besides doom, worked great for me.
  • snes 2005 plus also has chipset support, but runs games noticeably slower.
  • when playing chipset games using snes 2002, in some (or all) parts of the game these small white dots in several diagonal lines would appear on the screen, playing them in snes 2005 and snes 2005 plus doesn't reproduce this issue.
this has me thinking if snes 2005 was removed for several weeks then came back with chipset support, then it is possible that pcsx-rearmed really is being worked on. but until we get confirmation from someone like @aliaspider, we might never really know.

@Slasher115 you might want to add this info to the first post.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
