Homebrew Retroarch Emulation Thread (Nightly Builds Included)

Ok, so now just read that pocketSNES has been added to Retroarch, but can't find it in the last nighly. Am i missing something or is it a straigh lie?

One or more test builds have been posted, if you look back through recent pages.

Just got done going through my NeoGeo set. I found four problematic games that won't load. I just wanted to get confirmation from someone else:

Bang Bang Busters
Crouching Pony Hidden Dragon
Irritating Maze
Strikers

What Vague Rant said, also Irritating Maze doesn't work in any FBA (we're not missing much either really). Strikers..? There's 4 games - 1945 I/II/III, well if it's one of those they're vertical shooters so there's the screen rotation issue anyway. Plus shouldn't have that problem, will check that one in a bit..
EDIT: Strikers 1945 Plus works fine: remember it's a monster size (up there with Metal Slug 3) so will take some time to load, and also has crippling slowdown (in the actual arcade too, poorest game of the series by far)

Located! I've been absent for some time so i missed it. It's a ARM focused emulator so i'm eager to see how far it goes.

It runs smoother than CatSFC, but don't expect miracles with an O3DS.

Yeah, tested with Dracula X. Better but far from great performance. Well, is a step forward.

By the way, today's nightly uses .3ds files instead of .3dsx. How do you use that?

haha yeah, we're still looking for accurate emulation for SNES on PC. 3DS emulators are still too young.

Is a shame that the only usable SNES emulator for 3DS has such poor compatibility, but at least there's one. I hope pocketSNES grows fast on 3DS. I mean, it was a SNES emulator for GBA.

You downloaded the wrong archive. I just tried there are .3dsx.

Irritating maze was a one off machine that used a trackball and had its own bios. I remember a few years ago someone manage to make a bios for it to run on emulators.

On the 8th November nightly because I'm encountering some freeze menu while playing games and it's just weird

Are you still getting the menu error? I just hit it on the most recent nightlies, and it seems to have broken every earlier version as well (up till the 8th, which works fine). Probably unrelated, but gpsp now randomly crashes most of the time, which it didn't before (I'd played metroid fusion for ~3hrs without issues, but now every game I play crashes after 30-40 seconds).

Is this supposed to work with the grid launcher? I'm using the latest beta of that and I'm always getting the payload error. I had the 11.04 starter pack before swapping to it.

That happen to me with monster Rancher Advance the random freezing too after I won a battle and then I just went back to the 8th November nightly and no more

Hm. I get freezes with all my games, and I'm currently on november 8th aswell. If you have it, could you try the english-patched mother 3 (that one crahses the fastest for me) and see if it works?

Seeing it's 32MB in size I would say it's because it's huge file and I once had a 32MB rom (Pokemon Flora Sky) and they made my 3DS produce some weird sounds
