Hacking Retroarch - deleted item from playlist - how do I get it back?

I deleted a rom from a playlist in Retroarch, then changed my mind and wanted it back in the list (It's the SNES playlist). I rescanned the file and directory, and tried to look in the lpl file in the playlist directory (I didn't try to add it manually there). I can't get it to show back up. Is there a file somewhere that blocks the removed item from any re-scan? Any way to get it to show back up on a re-scan of the directory?
