Hacking retroarch core location

Does anyone know where the cores are located in the file directory on vita retroarch? I downloaded the nightly build from the homebrew browser and now a bunch of my cores are missing. Is there another way to add them individually and if so where to get them ?

Go into setting and update assets

Tried the update assets under main menu already doesn't add any new ones, i looked in the directories for cores and it says they are in app0: i don't see this folder at all in vitashell
