There is, but it's just hard to pull off -

L + R + LStick Up + CStick Up to go back to the menu

    L + R + LStick Down + CStick Down to quit.

I meant to say, once you use the combination to go in the emu menu during a game, there doesn't seem to be anyway to go back to the game besides getting up and pressing the power button or resetting the current game, or maybe the timing is really super sensitive and I'm doing it wrong, either way it's not that big of a deal really.

There's currently a bug that makes this button combo much harder to hit on the menu screen than in game. It'll be one of the things fixed in the next release, but it does work. You just need to try it multiple times, and make sure you hit the two sticks up or down at the exact same time

    Hey hey,

If anyone's interested, I re-skinned Close2Insanity's MAME forwarder (I f'ing love that forwarder!), and put together a RetroArch-Wii forwarder, i think it turned out fairly well. I included both of these wads in the download.

    Forwarder Previews

    Grab 'em here:

...and also, thanks much to the devs, you guys have done a great job!

Edit: Updated Link (v14 source - Thanks Fix!)

The combination to enter menu and going back to game is working good for me.

L + R + LStick Up + CStick Up to go back to the menu.. and it work too to resume play.

I would rather the combination rely on button presses like that of Gensis Plus. The current one is just a little too taxing on the controller for something that's probably going to be done frequently

    Bug report with RetroArch 0.97.1

1 - FCEUmm (or whatever it's called) - save states do not function, as in, no saves are created or loaded
2 - RetroArch returned with an "Invalid Format" message across the screen while the Wii slot LED was lit up, forcing a hard reboot. This occurred after swapping cores and resetting.

Can't load Sega CD's titles. First of all i've put BIOSes into the system folder. After that i've tried to launch games through .cue (two titles are in iso+wav+cue while third is bin+cue) — have no luck, just got the message "ERROR - an error ocurred during ROM loading.". Have tried to launch bin & game have started. It's the "Dark Wizard" NTSC-U. Here is the cue-file content:

    Code:

    FILE "Track 1.BIN" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    TRACK 02 AUDIO

What format games for SEGA CD should be? How to launch games through the .cue?

tueidj, thank you for info. I was confused with the text from the retroarch-libretro-README.txt, bundled with RetroArch:
    Code:

TO PLAY SEGA CD/MEGA CD GAMES: You need to have three BIOS files in RetroArch's
'system' directory. If you are missing any of these (required) files, Sega CD
    games will not work.
    bios_CD_E.bin - for European games
    bios_CD_U.bin - for North-American games
    bios_CD_J.bin - for Japanese games
To load a Sega CD game, load up the .cue/.CUE file, and NOT the .bin/.iso file.

Certain mappers currently have non-working savestate support (some games I know off the top of my head are Duck Tales, Mega Man 1, Super Mario Bros 1 - NROM-based mapper I believe) - this is known about and is in the libretro-cores README file. Problem is that FCEUmm lacks some patches that were implemented in FCEUX to address certain endian issues/mapper issues, so I have to backport patches from FCEUX from time to time.

I still prefer to use FCEUmm as a base because it has better mapper support, is faster and doesn't have all the TAS junk that FCEUX does. It's just a matter of ironing out those few bugs.

Also, I see that I'm lagging quite a few revisions behind when compared to the current FCEUmm trunk - commit 94 says:
Hopefully fixed all savestates now. (note to me: DO NOT SET STATE NAMES LONGERTHAN 4 SYMBOLS!) (TODO: make saves more flexible'
So hopefully when I'll update the libretro port to the latest version this weekend most of these issues will be gone.

I'll also try to get libretro support pushed upstream.

Is it possible you can give step-by-step instructions on how you can recreate this? Also, which core are you switching from and which one are you switching to, and is RetroArch on USB or SD?
