Hacking Retain GCN Games Not Working

My wii is softmodded, on 4.1. (cIOS 13b, bootmii/boot2) I don't have cMIOS/GCN Launcher. The other day, we wanted to play double dash, and the disc would not run. The disc would spin, and then on the game load screen it'll say something like "the disc cannot be read." After trying a few games, I now know that all GCN games (all retail) are not working.

All my retail and backup wii games work fine... anyone know of a solution or the source of the problem?

That happened to me when I used the region-free disc channel hack in StartPatch. Once I removed that, they started working again.

Cheatmaster: no, I am not using CIOSCORP
Fenrir: though I am not using Starpatch, I am using the region-free preloader hack. That might be what's doing it. Not a big deal, my gamecube is right next to my wii XD
