Hi all,

I haven't taken the AL9H plunge so I'm running the traditional 9.2 SysNAND with a 10.6 EmuNAND via ReiNAND.

Before performing the downgrade and following steps a few months ago, I did a full backup of my SD Card, which included 'backups' (via the native 3DS functionality) of most of my games.

While performing the downgrade operation, I formatted my SysNAND before creating my EmuNAND, thinking I could just restore my game saves if I wanted to but I'm realizing now that I probably can't use them because they would have been encrypted under the key from before I formatted.

Now that MHGen has been announced for NA, it would be nice to have my old MH4U save back so I'm wondering if there's any process I could follow to make that old save usable again. Would there be any way to brute force the encryption or some such? Keep in mind I have no idea what I'm talking about so be kind if it's a dumb question. :P

I've got JK's Save Manager installed and it works great to backup and restore stuff in my current EmuNAND but I can't use it to restore my old MH4U save.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if backing up saves using something like JK's Save Manager or SaveDataFiler will remove the encryption so they could be restored to a different NAND?
